Because he didn't anticipate Gronk needing back surgery, Bennett fracturing an ankle and never bothered to get a third good/great TE on the team ? I mean there is only so many people you can carry throughout the season.

He got rid of a TE they apparently had no confidence in and replaced him with someone who can at least block and might be large enough to be taken seriously in the redzone.

What else would you want ?

I guess you're right...if your definition of "roster management" includes responsibility for running onto the field and preventing injuries...but I have no idea what else you could mean...he carried two of the best TE's in football...they both got hurt...that's certainly "bad luck," but how is it bad "roster management?"
