I just noticed he is a FA and was last cut by the Hawks this summer, did he have a really bad year and really unable to gain his form back?

We could tolerate Browner when he paired with Revis (in his prime) but after his failed stint in NOLA, want no part of him..

At one point I thought he could be good at covering TEs or bigger receivers but I think theyve moved on from him. He's older now. I don think he has a lot left.

He was the worst player in the NFL last season

Speaking of Rowe, he looks like a player but, he needs to stop flapping his hands around in coverage. He's picked up ticky tack penalties and will continue to.

Who says that you cant get the old defense back together again.

Well, Browner would bring back an element of the defense that we've been lacking...

Will always love him for that play recognition and consequent jam, which nullified every flag thrown against him as a Patriot. But yeah, he's toast.

Remember the agony on this board when Revis and Browner both left for $$greener pastures? Interesting how both destination teams ended up with serious buyer's remorse.

As for the OP's actual question, I may be in the minority but I think Browner was already on the downslide during his time in New England. I'll always appreciate how he contributed here, but I wasn't sorry to see him leave and I'm not surprised that he seems to have hit the end of his career.

Loved how he blew up that Chargers receiver and his jam in the SB. Thanks for the memories Browner.

I don't see the OP asking to bring him back, but rather about the nature of the decline. I think it's just the fact that he's slowed down too much to have a real impact on the field anymore, hence a lot of his penalties.

He hit him perfectly but they called back McCourtys INT (i think it was a pick 6) because he hit him so so hard. That annoyed me so much at the time
