ultimately, this is why they signed him. so that they can manage a gronkowski injruy. BB saw how his seasons have basically ended for 2011, 2012 and 2013 due to gronkowskis injuries and not having another receiving tight end. we have seen what he can do when healthy. he was a beast in the miami game and has continued to be a beast in several other games. but his performance has been hampered by his ankle.

do we rest him vs. the rams? or at least limit him. we really will need him going forward.

Ideally it'd be nice to play him the way they played Gronk his first couple games back/ continue to use Flemming as an extra blocker.

Considering Bennett is already dealing with an injury they should rest him as much as possible. Otherwise it's all hands on deck until the HFA is wrapped up.

Wrapping up the 1 seed early, which is still very possible, could lead to a two or three week stretch of rest for Bennett and whomever else needs it.

After seeing what happened after bring Gronk back to early, they BETTER sit Bennett out against the Rams, there are so many eggs in Bennetts basket right now, we need him as healthy as possible, hell I would sit Brady against the Rams as well this is no joke whats going on right now our season and potential SB victory is in jeopardy atm

With how bad the LA Rams offense is I see no reason to play him. LA probably won't score more than 16-17 against us. We can still drop 24+ on them without him.

No chance Bennett doesn't play. I think BB should have let him heal weeks ago, but that is not what they have done.

Seriously - now that Gronk is probably out for the season that leaves Bennett, who has been hobbling around battling injuries for the past couple weeks. Not looking good.

Pretty sure we signed him so he can play with gronk, not in place of him. I get what you're trying to say though.

Of course he was signed to pair with Gronk, but he is still a great #1, not many TE's in the NFL I would take over him.

I agree with resting him we should be able to best LA with our running game Blunt, White and Lewis are doing great right now so use them. Still have Hogan, Mitchell, Amendola and Edelman that is enough against LA for a passing game. After all LA is 4-7 and it's am away game for them.

In the pre-game show, it was mentioned that Bennett has 3-4 separate injuries that he's nursing along. But it sounds as if he'll continue to play on sunday and heal the rest of the week.

If bennett want's a big payday he has to show he can carry the load. Here's his chance.
