The Future for this defense

I'm not looking forward to the off-season by any means . Just this d has me frustrated in every way possible including coaching. The soft zone **** has to stop. I'm fine with man across the board . If they get beat it happens. Brady can bring us back. I'd rather that then sitting back and playing pitch and catch for easy 10+ yards

I feel like. We need to invest in this defense this coming off season. We need to draft and sign free agents. Our corners are garbage outside of Butler. Coleman, Ryan and Rowe can go. Also we need to find someone to rush the passer. Anyone know of any upcoming free agents worth signing. Also Patrica needs to go and change the date to a pressure based d instead of this soft zone bs.

I been saying it for years, but our D, especially the secondary, McCourty and Ryan, in particular, suck. They make all QBs look like Dan Marino, especially when the QB throws the ball over 20 yards, it's a catch almost every time. Add in the D's inability to rush the passer and it's official that they suck. They can ditch the whole squad except Butler for all I care.

We only look decent against offenses who are screwing themselves up with overthrown or dropped passes and bad communication.

Chandler Jones has only 3 sacks in his last 5 games and 2 against hapless SF at home. The second half fade is starting.

So the past five drafts we have gone defense with our first picks.

Jones Easley and Collins are no longer on the team, Brown has been average, and Jones has been a drama queen.

Brown has not been average. To say so is absurd. He's developing into a very nice DT.

I will go a step further and say that some guys that come into the secondary from other teams or off the street, look great to start, but the longer they spend in the Pats system, the worse they get. This team desperately needs a better secondaries coach.
