Julian Edelman fined $26k

Gotta love the way Edelman plays. Hopefully the fine won't change his game one bit.

Are we sure it wasn't for hitting the NFL employee when he ran out of bounds? He did kinda lower a shoulder on the guy. I am wondering Reiss didn't get the whole story.

I remember the hit from watching the game. I thought wow he targeted him and got away with it. I knew a fine was coming, they were going back and forth and that hit was bush league

Sounds about right! He's a Pat.
Integrity.

And he has a good basis for him to appeal...he was fined more than any other Broncos player. Darian Stewart was fined $18,231 and LB Brandon Marshall was fined $24,309. Both players deliberately administered helmet to helmet hits on Cam Newton; Marshall even left his feet on his dirty hit.

Just shows that some teams are looked upon more favorably by Goddell and his sycophants.

Edelman left his feet on his dirty hit too. We can argue about the amount, but he deserved a fine for that cheap shot.

I thought that it was a cheap shot. He could have eased up but instead lowered his shoulder and slammed the guy. I thought the hit was with his shoulder into the center of the guy's chest.

Probably best to just pay it, when you appeal you open up yourself for a worse punishment.

He should turn over his personal cell phone just in case.
They probably will demand his gameboy color be turned over and when he can't supply it they will say he refused to turn over all electronic devices.

needs to go to wilfork school of hitting

or the kyle love 'raise 'm up' hit technique

vincent valentine is more athletic and 30lbs heavier.......I wonder if he could do better

Was there any hits on Cams head? I didnt see any. I only see that Cam viciously hit poor Denver defenseless players. And Julian Edelman hit, it was really really mean hit.

Love Jules, love the fire and intensity but in this case he left his feet and launched himself into that block. NFL gets a lot wrong but in this case they got it right. That was an unnecessary way to hit him and deserves a fine. Now as to the amount...less than the Broncos? That I do not agree with and smells like bias

I love Jules.
I loved the hit and I am surprised he didn't get 15 yards for it...and the fine.
I agree with the fine. If we allow blindside blocks (the defender was not looking at Julian), then the defensive players are all open to getting hit. I don't need some Steelers WR taking out Jamie Collins on a 7yd rush by their RB.
...loved the aggressive hit, Jules!!
Look again, number 62 pushed Arizona player in Edelman path.

The way that goodell's office goes after the Patriots, I'm just happy that Edelman wasn't suspended
