Injury practice update: Gronk present, Hightower absent

Anyone know what Hightower hurt ? I heard a reference to an ankle. As annoying as that could be, it would be preferably to a knee so I'm hoping it's ankle not knee.

I hate not having all our top 5 players healthy...but I'll take possible 1 week injuries over any others all day every day

Give me them relatively healthy in postseason and I'm a happy camper

In the replay it looked like someone fell on his ankle while he was getting after Palmer in the first quarter.

At the moment I'm not too worried, since I figure he wouldn't have come back in if they thought it was serious. Hopefully they're just managing his workload to give him some recovery time and make sure he's good to go on Sunday.

Howe just said it's a knee injury

Also remember 2 games in 5 days with the Thursday game agaisnt Houston next week

I think Wednesdays are offense days. I won't worry until he is out tomorrow.

Forget where I copied from yesterday, but was still in my iPad paste field:
Jamie Collins and Dont'a Hightower picked up where they left off as two of the team's top defenders. Collins picked up a sack, though he rushed on just eight snaps, and Hightower recorded three pressures of his own. One of those pressures resulted in Hightower getting a little banged-up when an offensive lineman landed on the back of his legs. He was checked out by trainer Jim Whalen briefly but was back on the field after a short stay on the sidelines during Arizona's subsequent drive. Hightower didn't look to be completely right while in pursuit of the football or while dropping into coverage so his status bears watching in the days and weeks to come.

But that doesn't really clarify what part of his legs. . .

Gronk was limited. I bet Gordie told Bill Gronk was taking it light today....

it looked like an ankle was rolled on in the replay but the way he moved in the film review posted by long distance it seems likely that when the ankle was rolled on it also twisted the knee.

Still relatively healthy on defense and tremendously deep.

I like the idea of a few blitzes drawn up to take advantage of Mingo's unreal athleticism.

Thursday, Hightower still out, Gronk was there but ran no routes, did a little blocking.

Safe to say they're both out this week but don't have anything major (as Hightower returned last week and Gronk is at least out there).

Despite newfound optimism for the first four, my goal remains to be tied for first in the division after Week 4 with Gronk healthy and ready to go.

Be interesting to see how much he gets on the field on D. I'm expecting lots of Freeny and some McClellin.
