""He (Dwight Howard) sprayed his hands at the scorer's table with a can covered in white tape – apparently to hide its contents. He entered the game as Paul Millsap was at the free-throw line and grabbed the ball after a made attempt. When Millsap got the ball back it clearly had a foreign substance on it.""

""Official Monty McCutchen grabbed the ball and went to each bench to issue a warning, saying ‘Stickum is illegal in the NBA.' ""

""Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff slid in front of the can, still at the scorer's table.""

WATCH: Rockets' Dwight Howard busted for using Stickum spray

Video proof of infraction…video proof of coach's complicity………..warning issued. And that's how its done right

Howard should get hammered for two reasons:

1) He admitted to doing it every game.
2) He's Dwight Howard.

Just to be clear, the NFL handled the actual ball tampering case (Panthers vs. Vikings) well. They issued a memo afterwards.

The Brady case should not be connected to ball tampering in any way whatsoever because there's zero evidence that any balls were tampered with. It has nothing to do with ball tampering, and everything to do with an out of control commissioner trying to make up for a decade of bad decisions and trying to play tough without having any legal understanding of his own job and capabilities. It's a case about a bad commissioner, nothing to do with balls other than Goody's shrunken ones.

I don't think it's fully dealt with yet. Rulebook says it's a $25 fine. Yes that's $25 not $25k.

Ha! I'd love to see the NBA fine him (team?) $25. The publicity (and NFL* shaming) would be outrageous.

But the Patriots did nothing wrong. There was no ball tampering. The issue shouldn't even be discussed, let alone how another league deals with it.

While we all know that the Patriots did no wrong, the ESPN campaign said something different and most of the NFL world believes that they did.. minds are made up and difficult to change.

The best payback is the 2016 FU Tour, when we hoist the trophy in SB VI....

Dwight says he's been doing it for years. Does that include the Lakers?

Celtics 17
*Lakers 16

*Denotes cheated.

FWIW, if it's Stickum, this is similar to how the NFL handled things when the Chargers used Stickum on a towel a few years back - they were basically just given a warning and the team was fined a paltry $20k. However, this was partially due to the fact that the Chargers refused to cooperate, and not wholly for the infraction.

Oh the hypocrisy that Spanos said he respected Kraft so much for not appealing when he appealed towelgate...
