And when they mentioned Welker going to Denver they dub over the original so it doesn't give away that it's two years old.

I only watch live sports on ESPN. I suggest you all do the same. The internet pretty much makes them irrelevant anyway. They used to be the only way to get national highlights. But if I can get highlights online and I know their reporters are liars what is the value to anything else they do.

Edit: 30 for 30s are still fun too.

I cancelled it altogether. I really don't miss it either.

Should sue for defamation.

Wow this surprises me especially for you. Don't you watch alot college ball? And what about Monday Night Football?

Yes and no. I only watch Monday night games if the Pats are on or if it's just a really good match-up in general (and most of the match-ups sucked last year). I can go to a friend's house or to a bar. Same thing with college football. A lot of the games that I watch are on CBS or the SEC Network, both of which I have. If there's a bad ass prime time game, I'm usually out and about on Saturday nights anyway and most watering holes I go to have TV's with the games on. It's not a big loss at all.

Was listening about this on D&H yesterday... I love Holley but he was trying to make the case that we only see these things through Patriot colored glasses and that ESPN doesn't really have any agenda against the Patriots.. it was strange given all that has happened that he would take that stance...

Yeah, no agenda whatsoever, Michael....Child please!

I would if I could, do you have cable or satellite?

Cable. You can get rid of ESPN. Or should be able to (not sure your cable company situation up there). All I did was call them and request to remove the channel to lower my bill.

I don't know why anyone who lives in NE who can get Pats games over an HD antennae wouldn't have cut the cord long ago.

Living on the west coast Gamepass + a VPN is about the cost of 1 month of what I was paying for cable in NE and is the best football viewing experience I've ever had. There's so many streaming sites for other shows out there (unless you have to watch it live) and if you really *have* to watch it live it depends on the network as between the streaming packages the major networks are coming out with and things like SlingTV you can probably find a way to make it work.

Live sports my man and not just the local teams. You got a good way to catch all the Celts, Bruins, Sox, and any out of town game I might happen to watch on any given day?

Plus you cord cutters think you're saving and for now you probably are but these companies aren't just gonna give away content. They'll figure out how to get it from us somehow. And in the end I think this will end up much worse. Paying a la carte is eventually going to even out and the average person will likely still pay the same and probably wind up with less content.

There are streaming packages for all of those things, aren't there? I know MLB and hockey have one and I swear there's one for the NBA. But I haaaaate those sports so I wouldn't be an authority on them.

No, they're going to die as they are replaced with content providers who are willing to adapt. There's a reason why places like ESPN are struggling. Nobody wants to be told when to watch or how to watch. Live sports/events are the exception but that's where seeing places like CBS giving streaming packages come in.

Maybe I'm wrong though. Let's meet at Blockbuster or Tower records and debate.

Your probably right and I have done zero research on the subject. I just keep paying my BS rates like an ass.

Anyone have an idea what it cost for 4 streaming packages for the main 4 sports? Are there any blackouts on these things. I know the NFL package for direct TV blacksout local games I assume these streams might do something similar. I guess this can be fooled by VPNs too.

Clearly he has forgotten what he has been saying for the past year.

I am still trying to figure out what BSPN means... at first glance thought it was Boston Sports Media Watch (BSMW)....

Q: How do you know when ESPN is smearing the Patriots?

A: They are on the air.

I think it means B.S. PN. Bull hockey network.
