Dropped balls.....

Shortly after we signed Stallworth NFL Network was re-airing a Giants\Eagles game from last season. So I DVR'd the game and only watched the Eagles offensive plays since I just wanted to focus on Stallworth and could have cared less about the rest of the game.

He was constantly open running in and out patterns 12-20 yards down field. The Giants secondary, granted not the best in the league, just couldn't stick with him.

The one negative I took from his performance was he had 3 drops. I have no idea if the NFL considered these drops or not but in my opinion two of them any high school receiver should have caught and the third while catchable was behind him and in tough position up high on the back shoulder pad. Not an easy catch when you're in full stride but one a receive should make 50% of the time.

The worst part was at least two of them came on third down and killed drives. Those are the difference between wins and losses.

That's why the Pats weren't content with just signing Stallworth and also made a trade for Wes Welker. Welker will be counted on to make the catch on those crucial 3rd downs. Stallworth will be used to stretch the field.

Agreed but these were 3rd and long situations.
