Kevin Snyder, LB, Promoted from PS

To replace Mayo. Not a surprise, not sure if he'll be active, though, I think they had to activate someone due to PS rules involving PS exceptions. I think Vereen and maybe another PSer is an "exception", can't follow the arcane rules, and I think teams need a full active roster to be eligible for the exception players.

This is the Exception Rule :

There is also a new Practice Squad exception rule of which a team may have two players. The exception is for players who do not have more than two accrued seasons and who have fewer than three practice squad seasons.

and, again, I think teams need a full 53 to be eligible to have exception players on the PS.

Anyway, whatever, Snyder seems like a run stopping 2 down guy (from Rutgers of course) if we use him.

We still have no idea on Collins. It will be Hightower and Collins if the latter is healthy with Freeney if we start 3 LB. I assume, anyway, Bill can surprise.

Dekoda Watson is basically a defensive end for the Patriots, not a linebacker like he's listed, played in college, and played for other NFL teams. Last weekend, he was the right end, I believe with Ninkovich at LE and Jones and Sheard inside. That's something they'd only do in obvious passing situations, so let's hope we see a ton of Watson at DE this weekend.

Run-stopping LB, sounds like he might get some usage here. Almost glad that he's a limited type of player, since if he was a little more versatile I'd be inclined to take this as bad news re: Collins' likely availability.
