I know this is #12's offense but wouldn't it be great if #39 could hang 125 yards on the vaunted Denver defense? The last few games and associated practices could be like a pre-season conditioning assignment.
Not too likely but would be nice.

You'd expect DEN to come at us in a dime or nickel package, so it's a shame that we cannot respond by plowing them over. It would sure slow down that pass rush!

Don't think that SJ and/or our OL has it in them right now, though.

Unless they have huge success early, I expect we'll never see this happen because they are going pass heavy. Alexander might get 1 run in the first 10 plays. If he gains 8 yards, we might see if he can do it again.

I'd be happy with 80 yards including one of about 35. I think he could see significant action where he's used for protection and swing passes early, then when the Broncos forget about run, bam. Jackson's a hungry back and the most talented runner we've had in many moons.

Zero chance of that. Jackson is cooked. He'd still be out of the NFL if it weren't for both Blount and Lewis landing on IR. It's up to #12 to get one for the thumb. It's all on his and the defense's shoulders.

I wanna see them hit him on some screens and I definitely wanna see him take on some DBs on that second level.

From what we have seen so far from Jackson I'd say 25yards would be enough to keep the Bronco's D honest so lets not push it.

Ah! you mean the Steven Jackson of the past and not this washed up looking one right?

I must be watching a different SJax than some of you guys. I'm seeing him get hit almost immediately and still getting positive yardage.

If he had any kind of run blocking, IMHO this guy could do some damage.

I don't even think Steven Jackson is the problem here. SJax has never been an elusive back and can still pound the football. Even if he's lost a step, that really doesn't make a difference for the type of runner he is and what he's being asked to do.

The problem is that this offensive line is not skilled enough to create the holes needed for any back. That's why Lewis was so important to the team because his elusiveness would allow him to bounce around to create plays.

This is not a powerback supporting offensive line.

Who is Alexander? Was their an signing of someone named Alexander that I missed?

Like to see him get through the line and face Harris 1v1 .... that would be gruesome.

Unfortunately, I agree. If our OL was better, I would love to see us run directly at DeMarcus Ware until he breaks, but this team just isn't built like that.

I like sjax but I've given up hope for that. We have not run on anyone in the playoffs for a long time not named the colts. Might have to go back to Houston in '12 even that game I doubt was anything special. Edit: Around 125 yards total, not bad

Better chance of seeing White doing that than SJACK. White can break long gainers for sure.
