Beckham will get a one game suspension and will appeal, win and then he will get a 2 game compensation on the appeal, that means he will not be suspended for the next game and get one game credit to do this **** show again and skate like a boss.

Yes. It most certainly is PC crap. If you can't handle being called names and have to throw a temper tantrum because of it, you don't belong on the field playing to begin with.

A player's sexuality has nothing to do with the game on the field. If someone is saying it to egg you on, you should ignore it. It shouldn't matter. That's the problem with today's world. We've developed a society of mentally weak people.

Tom Coughlin ended his career on Sunday by not benching Beckham for being so out of control.

Yeah, have to agree. He was likely gone anyway, but if there's one thing a guy like "on time is 5 minutes early, grrrr grrr" Coughlin should have down it's the getting guys to toe the line thing. That display was absolutely ridiculous, but Tom said, "well, maybe he'll catch a pass later though!" F outta here.

In pregame warmups, at least one Panthers official, and possibly more, carried black baseball bats on to the field and were motioning with them towards Odell Beckham Jr. while making comments to him, per a league source. Norman later grabbed the black bat and was swinging it in pregame warmups – which, by the way, an NFL Films camera captured. Beckham, according to another source, felt threatened and it helped put him in a certain frame of mind. It does not excuse what he did during the course of the game, but it does explain what led up to the battle that still is the talk of the league today.

This is one of those rare feuds where I don't know who to root for because I don't particularly like either of them. Norman was picking fights with his own QB in training camp, by all accounts he's pretty much as unlikable as they come. OTOH, I generally like Beckham, but after the crap he pulled yesterday it's impossible to really support him in this either.

Either way, the refs should have reined them in in the first quarter, when they were taking shots and slamming each other into the turf after every play. By not taking control, the refs lost control, and this is what happens when they lose control. Going forward, hopefully they'll all learn from this and be way more proactive about shutting this stuff down early before it escalates.

It was not Panthers officials. It was Panthers DBs who had the bats. This has been a routine for them going back several years to when Reggie Bush was in New Orleans.

Beckham claiming he "felt threatened" by Norman swinging the bat even though Norman never approached Beckham is just ridiculous. If Beckham truly felt threatened, then why didn't he approach NFL Security? Beckham is looking for any excuse to explain his inexcusable actions.

Wow, that's crazy that nobody put a stop to that. Doesn't excuse Beckham's actions and he should still be suspended for headhunting, but the league should also suspend everyone who brought a bat onto the field too, that's stupid and there's no need/use for it. Can you imagine Belichick letting guys get away with that?
