I agree. I am just saying that Norman isn't some Saint. He knocked ODB down in the first quarter prior to the helmet to helmet on some dirty type play.

Also, if ODB didn't drop the pass on the first series then ODB would have had a 40 yard TD.

Exactly!! Norman was as physical and as mouthy as Beckham was all day long. ODB can play on my team anytime.

No it definitely doesn't. I am just saying that after Norman got beat on a play (even though the pass was dropped) he took a cheap shot (though much more mild than the one perpetrated by ODB).

It is tough to say if he was trying to end his career though.

I expect the punishment for Beckham to be about the same as to a player who takes a guy's helmet off and pushes guy's head into the helmet -- so I'm guessing a 50k fine for all of Beckham's actions put together.

The spear by itself should be 2 games though -- both players should also have been tossed out of the game long before that happened -- poor handling by the officials and I'm guessing will be even poorer handling by the league

HOLY CRAP!!! Did you hear Dion and LT on the NFLN highlights show??? Defending OBJ's actions? I understand it takes 2, but there should have been some kind of "in game discipline" to both players (besides a flag). I just find it a little hypocritical for the MFL FO to bloviate about player safety, but then allow it that continue throughout the game. I personally don't have a big issue with it, it's just the calls for less known players would ejected. IDK, maybe I'm just starting to hate Beckham? Yea. I'm pretty sure that's it.
