Brady listed as "questionable" with illness

Practicing outside in the winter is something the human body wasnt designed for , it doesnt matter how elite an athlete is, breathing all that cold air, wind, rain, is tough.

I always had a strong resistence from colds, flus, etc but when I was in college I lived in a city, worked in another and went to college in another one, it was a triangle, in order to not lose too much time in traffic I bought a motorcycle, well taking a rain riding a bike is something I wouldnt suggest too.

I don't think you can catch the flu just from the cold weather.

This doesn't relate to anything (actually, it would be a good anti-Brady post this week on a Jets board). Just popped in my head and I think it's funny.

My week for the red seats, perfect.

If Brady is on an alkalinic based diet, he shouldn't be catching the flu and stuff like that. I haven't caught the flu at all this year, not that I'm on the diet.

Our fanbase is the most fraidy-cat, the sky is falling, we're f#####, what will we do?, pessimistic, woebegone, nothing is ever good, I'm ready to wee down my leg, Brady has Collins flu, and on and on and on. Has anyone seen one speculative report saying he won't play? All I've seen say he will. If he's too sick to play, Jimmy will play. But, I'm betting Brady's there and plays great.

Perhaps I misunderstand, or a joke flew over my head, but this statement is bizarre. Are you suggesting that Brady should avoid contact with his family during the late season and playoffs? Sure, there's things you can do to minimize the chance of transmission, but the only way to be sure to "avoid" catching stuff is to avoid the infected people.
Where do you get "bizarre" or "joke" out of what I posted? I didn't suggest anything about avoiding contact with his family. I said he needs to be on top of things around his family this time of year. Translation: taking necessary measures to minimize chances of transmission. People with kids know what I'm talking about.

After a while a parent develops a certain immunity to all the stuff the kids bring home.
Never heard of that happening. How can immunity be developed to new viruses making the rounds? My sister's boys always were making the whole family sick with what they brought home.

Not so much to the new ones (viruses) but to the ones that are out there. Sort of why kids in day care always have runny noses but by the time they get to kindergarten, they are past it while the kid who was home with little contact with other rugrats gets all those colds in kindergarten.....Or at least it was in our house and among our friends' kids...

Thanks oldrover, I was eating lunch when I say that image which will stay with me for a while...

Patriots list Brady as questionable for Sunday

Don't like the looks of this. He probably will play, but if he needs rest and pushes through it, I hope it doesn't make him worse.

Remember Brady had a bad cold at last year's Super Bowl and remarked that everyone in his family was sick. This is the time of year kids come home with colds and flu. I hope Brady is on top of things enough to avoid contracting viruses from his kids and wife during these all-important phases of the season.
If he plays like he did in last year's Super Bowl, I'll have no worries.

I'd as soon see Brady sit and Jimmy G get the start against the Titans. It's the ideal opportunity to throw the kid into the fire and see how he handles it, while not risking Brady when he is almost certainly not up to his usual physical condition, and playing behind an O line that is still somewhat suspect. There's less urgency about this game than there will be next week, or perhaps even the week after. And Tennessee seems a good opponent to give JG his first start, one he should be able to beat with the team we're fielding.
