Lawrence Taylor's $850,000 in 1986 is the equivalent to $1,848,000 today. That's less than Tarell Brown.

More tv money one

Some of the unintended consequences is its harder to keep players in line...heck many make more than the HC. Whats a fine? Money for playoffs and Pro Bowl....who cares?

Once again the Jets embarrass themselves with a crappy team despite three of the top twelve highest paid players at their positions.

Boy now I see what old stingy owners like Mike Brown still offer their players.

....and in today's NFL LT would command Revis money....and then some.

Ha. That was the year the started 10-1 and lost the last 5 allowing Pats to sneak in and win the division.

Then in divisional round Jets blew a 10 point lead with 4 mins left and lost to Cleveland in double OT. Charley Steiner said on radio "Jets are gonna win this game" after Jets scored to make 10 point lead with 4 mins left.

I was too lazy to look it up. There are only two possible variations of every Jets team since Super Bowl 3, so I knew it had to be either:

(A) a crappy Jets team that was an embarrassment, or
(B) a talented Jets team that choked like a dog and was an embarrassment

So I picked the wrong one. In fairness, picking option A is usually the way to go.
