Belichick loves him and he's essentially an extra coach, not to mention a damn fine player.

Trade is dead. Bears said it comes with a free Jay Cutler in which BB politely declined and the Bears then said the trade actually had to include Cutler. They got as desperate as to include three first round picks, the Chicago Cubs and the key to the city before BB finally had to hang up.

Heck yes! Great pickup for a 6th! LB is sort of shallow beyond Mayo, this could give us really great depth there.

I was one of the few banging the table hoping for us to draft one of the smaller athletic linebackers this last draft, so this acts as a makeup call.

Without someone like this, Collins is always going to be used as our coverage linebacker, which isnt ideal when he is also our best pass rushing backer. Casillas was great last year in that role, and hopefully we get something similar from Bostic.

If the Pats were as high on him as has been eluded to, it gives the team a cheap talent this year, while figuring out if its someone they want longer term, without having to do it through free agency.

Yikes, I really don't know what to make of this. LB is probably the last spot I figured we needed another body. Even a 6th rounder is more than I'd be willing to pay, but to say that Belichick has earned the benefit of the doubt on this stuff is an understatement. If this frees the Pats up to leave more LBs on the field and make Collins more of a dedicated disruptor rather than a coverage guy, then I could see it working out.

I think the expectation for him in Bear country were too high after he had a good rookie pre-season. If he comes in to be a STer and work his way into defensive snaps, he'll do well.

I can say yes for the Titans fans regarding Ayers. It was good riddance at first, then it was....you have got to be kidding me.

Isn't Fletcher supposed to be back in a few weeks? Watson and Freeney seem like they could've held down the back-up LB fort until then...

Guess Dane is either headed to the IR or Bill really doesn't trust Watson.
