A FootballOutsiders commenter dug this up:

"According to the PFR game finder, this has happened just 16 times since the merger. (In a single game, from 1970 to 2015, in the regular season and playoffs, requiring Punts = 0 and Turnovers = 0)

It's easier to do in recent seasons, with nine happening since 2001. But it's still impressive, regardless of the opponent."

It's great to get off to a good start. Of course, even greater is art of finishing.

Cool stat. I just ran it myself, the recent history includes:
2014 - GB@CHI (GB won 38-17)
2013 - CHI vs DAL (CHI won 45-28)
2013 - GB@MIN (CB won 44-31)
2011 - SD vs BAL (SD won 34-14)
2010 - BAL vs MIA (BAL won 26-10)

Interestingly every single team since the merger that had 0 punts and 0 turnovers won the game; before the merger teams were only 17-8-2 when this happened.

How the f*ck do you lose a game with 0 punts, 0 TO's??????

If there is a lot of running and few possessions, you could lose by scoring mostly FGs while you're opponent scores mostly TDs. It's not a coincidence that all the teams have won since the league became pass happy.

Yes, of course. No D and/or 3 and 2 drives per team. But wow, could you imagine that pace today?
