Manning's extension was a bad decision by the manager, especially at 21M/Y IMO. He was already mediocre last year and has been dreadful this season, so far (Many botched passes and easy ones too)... Of course, maybe he starts playing lights out late and in the playoffs again (If they even get there), I don't know, but I think Eli will impair the Giants to achieve something great in the next years

The fear of "not having a QB" drives teams to overpay at that position. And then, those teams pay for (1) the QB and (2) their mistake as they lose other players for cap purposes.

Beyond Brady's brilliance there is (and always has been) the relative bargain salary that allows for depth elsewhere.

Watching some of these games is like watching preseason game 3. It makes me realize that even with the hiccups, New England is so far ahead of damn near the whole league. GB has looked really good and, believe it or not, AZ hasn't looked half bad. But the disparity to me is glaring. There's NE, GB and then everyone else.
