Could Patriots Ticket Holders file a class action suit?

I don't know if this is even possible or worth it. But consider Season Ticket Holders have bought a valuable item.
That item could be reduced in value by the NFL publicly publishing an erroneous report and using that erroneous report to subsequently punish the Patriots star performer.

Even if they didn't win, the publicity of the case may help to restore the damage done to Tom's reputation.
If they win it could hit the NFL hard where they hurt the most.

I supposes they could, jest fans filed a suit claiming they they payed for tickets to a game where the opponent (the patriots) cheated therefor they deserved they're money back, or something to that effect. imo your lawsuit sounds like it has more merit.

The only message would be giving up tix... which, if Brady does not play we will see thousands of tickets on stubhub at a much lower value.. you can't use.. you can only give up your ticket, which they don't have a gun to your head to purchase..

This is almost certainly correct.

There was an article about this a day or two ago in the Wall St Journal, in the wake of the suit against Pacquiao and others. Along with the jets suit, others have been filed and dismissed under the same reasoning -- suits regarding the Tyson / Holyfield (bitten ear) fight and an auto race were mentioned.

This maybe different. The class action suit is not against the Patriots the seller of the ticket. Some other agent, the NFL, has taken an unjustified action that has damaged something I own, my season ticket.

My season ticket was bought with the assumption Tom Brady would be the QB unless injured, traded, retired or lost his job to another player. That made the price I paid worth the purchase.

If my neighbor backs into my mailbox without justification and damages it, you say I have no legal recourse if the neighbor doesn't fix it?

Actually the NFL sells you the ticket to an NFL game. They have done no damage to your ticket as you can still get into the game and see a game played which again is all that is promised.
