DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION The Official 2015 NFL Draft Rounds 2-3 Thread

My 3 clear cut CB options are Rowe, Collins & Rollins (maybe). All of them would probably need a trade up.

Darby and Williams are boarder line first round talents but the character issues make me nervous.

There are a few good OTs left. But again if you want a Solder replacement you will need to trade up. Fisher, Collins and Clemmings are the only guys I see as being able to come in and be an impact starting OT down the line.

Jaquiski Tartt.

Rather than sit tight with the 64th pick, I hope the Patriots trade up with the 96th pick
to the middle of the 2nd round. Then, take the best player available like last night.
With the 2nd pick on day three, they should also get another good player. They will
be able to sort thru all the remaining players from day 2.

I am fine with them trading up. But who are you targeting for that trade in particular?

I myself would like Rowe and am willing to trade my 96th to move up to get him.

say it with me children... "OFFENSIVE GUARD!!! OFFENSIVE GUARD!!! OFFENSIVE GUARD!!! OFFENSIVE GUARD!!"

Yup. We still have no-one starting at LG for next year.

Love to see CB and a guard. Don't really think we need to take a wide out (just stick with vets, maybe Dobson can become something...) or a RB unless it's a really nice deal. Perhaps a safety? Chung might struggle with a bigger role.

Could not make the trade until the round is halfway thru. If a couple of good players have
slipped like last night would make the trade. Still need cornerback, offensive guard, running
back, and wide receiver. Quality over position.

Connolly has left us.... who else is out there in free agency?

From what I've gathered, the team may be trying Fleming at guard this season. Not sure how comfortable they are with that, but he has been working on it based on what's been reported.

draft isn't the only option for a guard.

No, but that's leaving a fair amount to chance. I'm sure BB has a plan but it would be nice to come out of the draft with a clearer picture of what that plan is.

Also I know people here want a RB. Would anyone here trade a 6th or 7th for Zac Stacy from the Rams?

Personally I would not cause he fell off hard last year but he has potential.

Maybe he could ink a "prove it" deal with the Pats? Might work out

Not advocating for it, but a player to keep an eye on today:

@NEPD_Loyko: Sammie Coates would be the most attractive prospect for the #Patriots if they can handle the drops. Smart, Great Character, Well-Spoken.

As is the case with Cannon, Fleming will be practice at OG. However, as with Cannon, Fleming is more suited to being a LG.

In any case, the POSSIBILITY that Fleming will be starter material at OG shouldn't stop Belichick from drafting a LG or LT/LG.

I watch a lot of the Rams thanks to a good friend who's a Rams fan. Stacy's downright putrid and shouldn't be in the NFL. He was one of the least efficient runners in the league his rookie year, when he got high volume, and he was even worse last year. I wouldn't touch the guy with a 10 foot pole. If you're going to offer a late rounder for a Rams running back to contribute, look at Benny Cunningham. He can return kicks, catch the ball, and pass protect. He reminds me of (a poor man's) Kevin Faulk. He'd immediately be the best 3rd down back on the team.

I could see Belichick trading up from 64 if his man is there.

TJ Yeldon.

Make it happen BB.
