Posluzny over the top tackle video

Yeah, Willis is going to be a star. No doubt about that in my mind. I just can't imagine the scenario where we get him. Too much LB need ahead of us, and it wouldn't be a Bioli move to give up both 1s for him.

Plus I like Poz. Don't know why. Would love to rock a Pats Poz jersey...

big deal he made on nice tackle, you want to sell him on that. this guy scares me i don't want anything to do with him.

I'm sure Bosworth made even better tackles in college.

I think Poz will be a beast in the NFL as an OLB,Does he fit here will only be decided if we draft him,Otherwise he comes from a great school with a great Defensive History and players that came out of there and were successful,I like the kid, myself

I loved Willis, really wanted the guy. Then as the draft got closer and closer, he kept shooting higher and higher. So, I can scratch him off the list.
I wanted Poz for a little while there. Then I saw his videos, and cant help but feel that he will be a star in this league, just not in our system. If he goes to a team like the bucs or the colts or the eagles, I think he'll turn out golden. If he comes to us, I just dont really see anyhting good coming out of it.
So, now, I have settled on harris being the only LB for us taking in the first. I'm actually really excited about the possibility of getting Harris. He's a leader, not a big name (so, no big head to accompany it) and he's tough as nails. Thats our kind of guy.

Any other LB's worth taking in the 1st round for us other than those three? I just dont see it. Im honestly starting to get a weird feeling that the Pats are going to surprise us with some weird ass picks that we probably arent going to agree with, but then again, thats probably just the pre-draft jitters.

I just cant wait for this **** to be over with. :bricks:

So, in other words, you don't watch much college football.

This kid has been the biggest producer at the lB position in a long time. look at the numbers, he's had 4 good years. There's a reason he beat out AJ Hawk for the Butkus. He is not a 1 hit wonder.

Peter King has him going at number 11.... I doubt that, but if we have a shot at him, I hope we take him.

The guy can definetely play football, however, after seeing that tackle, I understand why scouts are down on him. It was a "reckless" effort and those types of dives end up in injuries. Don't get me wrong, I think it shows a lot of heart on his part, but after making those tackles week after week, he'd quickly break down IMO.

It seems like with Posliszny people either love him or hate him.

Didn't he have a bad knee injury a little while bag. Has that affected his play?

How many guys have produced at the college level, and won heismans and other awards and not done anything in the pro's?

a--Maroney would have scored

b--this kid gives me Katzenmoyer paranoia

to be fair, it's usually a little easier to transfer the skills from college to the NFL from the defensive side of the ball, though obviously there are many examples especially from PSU

Some of you have probably seen this... God I love this kid. I hope we get him. I know he's not the most popular choice on this board, but I think he'd be a great fit...

I don't see what's so impressive about that. Why should a linebacker have to leave his feet to make a tackle unless the offensive player is trying to score by jumping over the pile? Poz just seems too small and too slow for the Pats system. 6-1 235ish with a 4.67 40. Not exactly eye-popping numers. I like MLB a couple inches taller and about 10-15 lbs heavier with sub 4.6 speed.

And I like diamond encrusted Cheerios.

It's a nice fantasy but you'll be hard pressed to find many players who actually fit that description.

Many, but that applies to every single person in the draft.

what in the world are we arguing here?

Are you saying examples of success, because there are a ton of PSU defensive players that made the Pro Bowl. Even more that started on their teams. Granted Lavar Arrington and courtney Brown didn't pan out. Courtney never really had it, but LaVar was really really good until the injury. Kim Herring made a few, and there are some other recent players that did well.

Of course, the defensive players from PSU in the past were of even higher caliber, the Shane Conlans and jack hams etc.

You have to leave your feet on the goalline because there are a ton of bodies piled high like the Persians in "300." Or you can wait to tackle him on your feet in the end zone.

How many ILB's in this draft class have sub 4.7 speed ? I think only Willis & Siler. I'd love to see Pos in a Pats uni, I think he will be a star.
