Butler's play was amazing!!! But I gotta give the D mad props for the PREVIOUS play, in which Beast Mode was stopped short of the line. Saved a TD and also made seattle think about passing instead of running, setting up the pick.

Chandler Jones I believe ... just posted this in the game thread. ... I agree ... both equally huge.

Don't forget the penalty on Bennett after the pick, offsides. Got Brady out of the end zone.

hey -- so, should Butler ideally have gone down in the end zone and gotten the ball to the 20? or was here out of the end zone when he caught it and so had to go forward?

I saw Hightower trying to get Butler to take a knee. But you just get a pick to win the SB? YOU ARE RUNNING WITH THAT.

One sequence I think was HUGE : down by 10, NE punts. Seattle gets stopped mid field and needs to give the ball back to NE. Two scores followed.

I think Hightower had the first hit and then Ayers wrapped him up just short of the line. HECK of a free-agent pick up.

I think Chung got a crucial hand to trip Lynch up too!

This helped make up for the BS Tyree catch. I don't care what anyone says. Even if they had given Marshawn Lynch the ball, I believe he would've fumbled it because THIS was the Pats year to win the SB. After the last 2 heartbreaking losses, this was NE's night.

He moved around some while gaining control of the ball.

Excellent call. That stop on lynch at the 1 was huge.

Watching butler plant his foot and drive on the ball and pick off that slant was impressive to watch.

Karma finally gave us our due.

Not just those losses to the Giants, but the bs about not cheating the laws of physics. We were owed.

I was bashing them for not letting him score and giving tb12 a chance to win the game. Shows what I know.

On second thought THAT would have been bad

Edelman and Vereen were dink and dunking the hell out of the Seahawks tonight.

Getting the Seahawks to jump on that kneel down was huge too. We'd probably have had to give the ball back after a safety which would have meant a FG would have won the game.

I wouldn't say we were owed anything, but we certainly deserved some love back this time. Especially after Kearse's weird frigging catch.

Kearse's catch was the stuff that makes you stick your head in an oven. You just don't even know what to say.

I wondered why they didn't run a fake to Lynch and have Wilson run it in. It seems like there were a lot of things they could have done that would have been better but whatever.

FWIW, I don't think the plan was to take a safety; it sounds like the plan was essentially to combine taking a knee with the QB sneak.

I was watching for the QB sneak and so were the Seahawks. Brady was well covered; there were 4 or 5 Seahawks over the OC and A gaps. Might still have been a safety.

I Don't mind TB being MVP but to me Edleman or Butler should have had it, I hope Brady gives that truck to Butler. Brady doesn't need it.
