I have to believe there is NO WAY this is something Bill Belichick had control over. This has to be on Tom. Period. And even so, who really cares? If we get docked draft picks it's time fot Kraft to lead the charge to oust Goodell.

His biggest ally could very quickly become his biggest enemy over this ridiculous accusation. Taint this franchise one more time, just before the biggest event of the year......treading on very thin ice Roger.
How is this on Brady? Because he prefers a slightly deflated ball or because he deflated them himself?

How is this team seriously sitting on its hands here?

Statements need to be made, as this is getting way out of control.

Need to pound the seahawks cincy style.

You mean the trivial fine that the rulebook specifies? Or the new arbitrary one that Goodell is going to rip out of his Ahole shortly?

There's no limit. The rule specifically has the phrase "not limited to" in reference to fine and discipline.

I believe it's really a quarterback thing how they prefer the ball, I remember in my childhood playing soccer, depending on the weather or surface you may want to play with a ball as soft as a balloon, hard cover and empty inside like a coconut or even totally heavy as an bowling ball.

It needs to have a range and not a specific number because pressure it's a variable very difficult to control specially having to deal with external elements and a lot of pounding.

They are looking for a needle in a haystack here to fuk with the Patriots and it sure looks like twitter will dictate Goodell's decision.

After going to bed with a knot on my stomach last night. I awoke this morning to a new perspective.

I don't give a crap if the balls were under or over inflated. It doesn't matter. It doesn't effect anything. You cant tell the difference between 11 psi and 12.5 psi.

The pressure is like the color of the shoes, or whether the shirt is tucked in correctly. All cosmetic!

Just give us the 25k fine and end this stupid shyt. It's a haters paradise, and Goodell is living in ground zero. Just fine us and let it go! We need to get on to real things.

If I had to guess on the silence component .... it might be that the league has enough evidence that points to the Pats wrongdoings and Kraft is negotiating suitable punishment terms before commenting.

Because the league and commish are not talking officially but leaking choice information to its stooges one by one making us look bad. The team cannot respond to anythng unofficial.

Another honest question, why should any fan trust the NFL on this?

They mess up all the other big news stories, refs border on incompetent sometimes, and Goodell has never shown equitable punishments in anything.

it will be much more than the 25K fine. Godell is going to show he is isnt favorites with Kraft.

To be fair, the rulebook does specify "not limited to". Don't get me wrong, it's 100% obvious that the league couldn't have given less of a **** right up until 3 days ago (see: Aaron Rodgers, the Panthers/Vikings game), but if there's one thing we know about Goodell, it's that he goes nuclear when PR outrage gets out in front of the story.

I probably sound like a pessimist right now, and I guess I am. But I'm starting to feel like it's a foregone conclusion that Goodell's going to throw the book at the Pats Bountygate/Spygate style, because he's a reactionary dipshit like that.

This all boils down to two things.

1) There are petty jealousies within the NFL who can't deal with how much better BB is at winning in the NFL than they are.

2) The media doesn't accept that BB does not show them the deference they demand.

Or, more simply, the Patriots are just continuing SOP on these cases. When have they ever commented on most of these things?

I'm sure the penalty will be more severe. I'm not expecting Goodell to use reason when making his decision.

It's a chance for Goodell to flex his muscles and make people forget how badly he botched a much more serious situation earlier in the year, a situation I'm sure would've been brought up a lot next week.

They better have some hard core proof. The Patriots should not take this sitting down, they should fight the NFL for all its worth. If the Kraft's allow the NFL to ram another big punishment down their throats I will be permanently disgusted with them.

The longer this goes, the worse I feel about it. If it were an open and shut case, it seems we would have heard something by now. Hope I'm wrong.
