For all the great press Carroll and Schneider get for personnel decisions this was a huge fail on their part. Gave up a 1st in 2013 (#25) and 3rd in 2014 for him.

I'm sure some chicken little will say but he helped them win a SB. Sorry but Seattle was winning that game regardless if he took that kickoff back or not.

He has a cap of 12.9 mill next yr and he is signed till 2018. So how this works ? They will ask him to restructure or carry this cap figure for 4 yrs or cut him ? I guess thats why its a mid round pick. This is idzik trying to say he made something for this team .

That was Seattle's cap hit which included past bonuses. Jets aren't liable for the signing bonus hits on the cap. So the Jets cap hit will be lower (not sure how much, can't access info now).

Agreed. Not a good trade by the Seahawks. I've seen a lot of seahawks fans saying he was worth it because he won them the super bowl. But they really had that game locked and won before the half. He might have taken out the last bit of energy that the Broncos had. But they had so little left that it didn't really matter.

But I think most teams would have a lot of fans trying to justify a trade for a first round pick.

BTW, he was the highest cap figure on the team this year for Seattle, makes sense for Seattle as they need to free up space to sign Wilson among other players

If indeed was a Mid-Rounder, the only explanation is that Percy Harvin is the worst teammate ever. He was being somewhat productive in Seattle.

I think jets will try him out this yr and try and restructre his contract next year or release him. That must be the conditional part of the pick.
Then the pats will pick him up and beat them again a la woodhead

This is fantastic news. Seattle tries to emulate the Pats way by dealing a player early opposed to late, except their entire offense is play action, and harvin created a ton of issues for teams.

Also, weakens a Super Bowl contender, and beefs up the jets before they play our division rivals 4 more times. Good timing!

Can't criticize the Jets too much (even though it's fun to do it) since they have no WR outside of Decker. If they can restructure his contract, could work out for them.
