Revis isn't gone. DMC isn't gone. Cromartie isn't gone. Thurmond isn't gone. Graham isn't gone. Lots of good ones left. Including the best one of them all, Revis.

Allen isn't gone. Peppers isn't gone. Ware isn't gone. Tuck isn't gone.

Ware is on the verge of signing with den. Allen sea I believe. CEO has a bad him and don't like contact. Thurmond isn't a #1 CB, same as graham #3 at best. Tuck is prob gonna be back in ny.

I do like pep as a situational rusher, and Revis wou?d be great.

I said if the contracts were equal.

And don't count out the Pats trading for Talib either.

Yeah I know, I assume you ment Revis in the second part there lol? Unless this off season is about to hit a crazy plot twist. Worried someone like the raiders are going to offer a stupid contract. Have to hope there's some competitive spirit in Revis deep down that wants to win. Ugh worse part about yesterday was Verner signed in Tampa cheap.

Sorry, late to the party.

We have seen what a shutdown corner CAN do for this team.

I think we need one. Unfortunately the market has been setting the value for these positions and that makes it hard to go try and get the next one when the last one got 57 Mil.

I would look to the draft for a big physical corner as existing players demand salaries that can't keep us competitive in other positions.

Here we go again hoping for a better draft year....

:help2:

Supposedly the Jets have a mystery FA CB locked up.

It would suck if it's Revis lol. Knowing all the big mouths over there and it being ny if it was Revis we prob would if heard something by now... Least I'm hoping.

Talib is not a shut down CB.

Revis definitely is. Ricky Sherman is. Steve Smith ripped Talib a new one when NE played Carolina.

2 years of Talib equaled 2 lost AFCC's.

Talib is one failed drug test away from a 1 year suspension. He is injury prone and getting old. No thanks on investing millions in the Danny Almendola of Corner Backs.
He is around the same age as Revis. Who was truly concerned about a bad drug test for Talib? And he is not comparable to Amendola. Much better at his position.

I don't think we should have payed him like that but it doesn't mean we need to start ticking off reasons for why we didn't really want him to begin with.

I don't see the pats getting Revis for the simple fact they won't pay one guy that much money. What I do see is the triumphant returns of Jonathan Wilhite and Terrence Wheatley though.

They will make a push for browner and DRC

Still some options left, but it's disappointed to see Talib go to the Broncos. The Pats could have used both him and T.J. Ward. Hopefully something is in the works because Ryan and Dennard are probably one of the slowest pairs of starting corners in the NFL. Ware now planning a visit to Denver too. They're really getting aggressive about re-tooling that defense.

Lol I'm not on the ledge quite yet. But I think it could be a crucial mistake to not sign a quality corner to the team. Going into the season w/Arrington as the third best corner would be a nightmare. Plus who is to say Logan Ryan will suddenly have everything together for a breakout year?

what are we talking about here with talib anyway? he looked good at times, but how much of a difference in the grand scheme did he make? the defense was still extremely mediocre

I just don't understand why the broncos would make this deal without a real attempt at revis....I'd rather have revis

if the pats get revis, they come out ahead on this exchange

The difference is though, Revis is a game changer...the best CB in the game. If you merely kept the same defense as last year and added Revis it gets instantly better.

plus he is more durable

What about walter thurmond or whatever. Maybe they should sign him.

Past two AFCCG's. The difference is obvious. Watching the Broncos tool on every Patriots DB once Talib went down was a train wreck.

Even though the Broncos are going all-in for Manning (something the Pats have never done with Brady), I take small solace in the fact that Manning just does not seem to have "it" in big games. He is one of the best to ever play but he routinely comes up small in the playoffs.

I just hope history stays its course and the Winner of the FA Super Bowl does not win the real one.

I still have no idea what BB and team do from a FA side. He is still one of the best coaches ever, but his team management seemingly has not been what it once was.

I hope Denver loses in the playoffs after round one.

42 pages of whining and moaning... Wonder how many posters even remember when the Pats last losing season occured.

I hope Talib misses half the games and it bites the Broncos in the @$$ just like he did with the Pats

Who cares about winning seasons....we should care about winning superbowls with our HOF QB...which we have not done in 9seasons. and our chief Rival (with another HOF QB) seems to be going all in to do so with him.

we cant keep leaving Brady out to dry. When brady retires Will we care about all the 12+ win seasons or will we be thinking "hmm we shouldve done more to win another one with brady"

because if we could get so far with the flawed rosters we had. imagine if we actually went all in.
