So the Patriots put about 75 players each year on their draft board I recently found out (the least of just about any NFL team). Here is my guess of who it is. I am gonna add positions to this over time as it takes a while to look at everyone. Hopefully by the end of march it will be complete. Again this is not who I want them to pick but who I project they are considering picking.

DT - They like big bodies who run stuff first and their smallest DTs are generally no less than 295 (and those are their pass rush specialist).

Louis Nix
Stephen Tuitt
Will Sutton
Ego Furgeson
DaQuan Jones
Anthony Johnson
Deandre Coleman
Zack Kerr

All these players from what I can tell have no baggage and show effort every play which is something they value particularly in their DTs. Might revise later based on meetings they have or if I get the feeling they are making a philosophical shift.

I'm not sure that Will Sutton will be, maybe if he falls, but I think he's a bit too one gap for BB to be picked early.

I don't think there has to be a philosophical shift to put players like Easily, or Donald on their board.

I honestly don't know. Donald is a maybe for me. Easley though is out for sure I think. That interview was probably the death nail for him ever coming here (BB doesn't draft players that prefer watching cartoons to football).

Donald I am torn on though. I find it hard to believe if he was there at 29 BB would pass on him but it would be a first in the BB era to draft a player like him. Maybe Donald is the exception to the rule but I would guess BB sees him more as a situational DT than a full time DT and would not spend a top pick on him especially if Nix is on the board which is prototypical for BB.

That is the question I struggled the most with though.

If anyone I think BB would go with Jernigan which would still be a mild surprise.

Edit: Also let me be clear. If Donald is there @29 I will yell at my screen for BB to pick him. But I have no reason as yet to think he will.
