Next Stop, the Underwear Olympics

According to Rob Rang on Twitter, Manx's binky Austin Seferian-Jenkins measured in at 6' 5 1/2" 262# with 33 3/4" arms and an 80" wingspan. That's a bit lighter than previously listed. Will be interesting to see how he runs.

Per Daniel Jeremiah, Troy Niklas weighs in at 6' 6 1/2" 270#. Jeremiah notes: "Lot of buzz building on him as more guys get a chance to study him. Complete TE."

Wendell Jr?

Keep in mind the players have been training for the combine drills, not to play football. I'd certainly like him to add 12-15lbs of beef but that would probably hurt his 40 time, and subsequently his draft stock, more than his weight.

It shouldn't be difficult for him to add some muscle after this process is over, not that 15lbs would be the difference between success and failure as an O-lineman.

Some miscellaneous numbers from Gil Brandt on twitter:

- 19 OLs measured 6'5" or higher. Tallest was Kansas St. OT Luke Lucas (6' 8 3/8").
- 6 OLs with arms 35" or longer. Longest was Lucas at 36 3/8".
- Cyrus Kouandjio had 35 5/8" arms to go with his 6' 6"+ height - good numbers for him.
- Anthony Steen (30 1/2") and Tyler Larsen (31 1/2") were the only OL prospects with arm length less than 32".
- Taylor Lewan 6' 7 1/8"
- Jake Matthews 6' 5 1/2" 308#. "Looked great" per Brandt.
- 4 TEs measured in under 6'3", but none under 6'2".

Wow! USC C Marcus Martin weighs in at 6' 3 4/8" and a whopping 320# per Jeremiah. 34" arms. Jeremiah notes: "Really good player, can play all 3 interior spots."

David Yankey measures 6' 5 5/8" 315# with 34" arms. Seems more like a tackle build than a guard build.

Jace Amaro weighs in at 6' 5 3/8" 265#, per Andrew Perloff on Twitter.

Some updated measurements, reported by Josh Norris on Twitter (most from NFL.com updates):

- TE Richard Rodgers: 6'4" 257#, 32 5/8" arms, 10 1/8" hands.
- TE Troy Niklas: 6'6" 270#, 34 1/8" arms, 10" hands.
- TE Jace Amaro: 6'5" 265#, 34" arms, 9" hands. Small hands.
- TE Xavier Grimble: 6'4" 257#, 33 5/8" arms, 10/14" hands.
- OL Antonio Richardson: 6'6" 336#, 35" arms, 10 1/4" hands.
- OL Taylor Lewan: 6'7" 309#, 33 7/8" arms, 9 1/4" hands
- OL Jake Matthews: 6'5" 308#, 33 3/8" arms, 9 7/8" hands.

. @jeffphowe: Austin Seferian-Jenkins told me he met with Josh McDaniels here at the combine.

Sounds good.

Wow, if there was ever a class of offensive tackles that looked the part, this is it.

More from Josh Norris on Twitter:

- Colt Lyerla: 6'4" 242#, 32 3/4" arms, 10 1/4" hands.
- AC Leonard: 6'2" 252#, 33" arms, 9 1/4" hands.

Thanks for keeping us updated with all the info!!!! Great stuff!!

2nd round possibility for us? That is if he makes it there!!!

I was a tad disappointed by ASJ's numbers. Was expecting 34" plus arms and 10" plus hands. He was just under on both. Not terrible but I was expecting freak and he wasn't quite there. Troy Niklas on the other hand......wowser!

Yeah, but it's just measurements. If Niklas runs 4.85, people will question his ability to run the seam in the NFL. ASJ is lighter than I expected, but if he runs a 4.7, it will help his stock a lot more than if he had weighed in at 270 and run a 4.8.

I'm quite OK with Niklas rising and ASJ slipping. I think they're both good TE prospects.

Measurements are important. Gronk wouldn't be the player he is without those 10 3/4" hands. I was hoping for Gronk hands from ASJ.

While I prefer ASJ, I agree on him v Niklas. Will be fine with either.

BB is speaking with the press on NFL Network right now.

And no doubt saying nothing.

He seems to be in a chatty mood. Basic summary:

1. How much things have changed in the past 20 years, and how much of a media event the Combine has become.

2. Getting all the medical information on all the prospects in one place at one time is the most important and useful part of the Combine. Saves a lot of time and legwork compared with the past.

3. Getting some face-to-face time with prospects is also very important.

4. Tends to discount the value of the measurements, tests and drills (3-cone time be damned!).

5. More catch-up work to do evaluating prospects than usual because of all the underclassmen declarations.

6. Total BB non-answer on what Mike Lombardi's role will be.

Two of my favorite O-line prospects in this draft. I have said it before and will say it again, if they can get Marcus Martin in the middle rounds I'll be doing back flips. Big, athletic, young as a true junior entry, versatile, and a good player.
