Wes Welker : Cursed ????

Welker 8 /84 yards - 10 targets

Thomas 13 / 118 yards - 18 targets

Those guys played very well ... nothing to hang their heads for.

The game was won in the trenches and paying attention to small details ... doesn't it always in the big games.

Well to be honest most of the yardage came when Seattle was up by like 25 points. Remember Denver didnt get a first down for the first 20 minutes of the game.

If anything, we are the ones cursed by Welker and his drops in the 2 Super Bowls and AFCCG against the Ravens

Welker played a good game and put together another fine season making millions of dollars in the process. I don't feel the need to take any liberties at his expense as he was a damn fine Patriot and took employment where it was offered.

It was clear Welker didn't want to be here and frankly, that's the decision he'll have to live with.

Welker played a typical Welker game in the playoffs and his team, like always LOST.

I won't lie to you. I'm glad he doesn't have a ring. Watching him in orange makes me want to vomit.

No, but I'm still not mad about losing him. I am however, still mad of that hit he put on Talib.

He will get over it emotionally while Talib has to go through freaking rehab this spring and summer.

Good game for him though.

Welker is a great player and was a great Patriot. Sad to see that he lost another SB (I didn't want Denver to win but well..) despite playing a pretty damn good game.

He was pretty much the only Donk that showed up today.

Um, Demariyus Thomas? Super Bowl record 13 receptions, 118 yards, and a tremendous catch for a TD. Taking several titanic hits in the process.

I think he showed up. Big time. Just imagine this dude in a Patriots' uniform.

Or the guy that set a SB record for catches in a game....

Yah, he's crying all the way to the bank to count his millions and bang his model wife. Rough life. Do any pro athletes really give a crap at the end of the day?
I'm sure they do. If there is a curse, it will come this summer. Can Denver win with this team? Is it time for Manning to retire? If that is the case, do they want Welker back? If not, does anyone?

I think that Welker could have played in New England as long as TFB was at the wheel. Now, I'm not sure the Big Kazoo has much of a football future at all.

Thomas had a great game — except for a killer fumble. As far as imagining him in a Patriots uniform: Overall he's the receiver I would love to see Dobson develop into.

As for Welker: Some decent plays but not much impact. By the way, I believe he's now third in career Super Bowl receptions (26, but don't quote me), behind Rice (33) and Andre Reed (27).

Phuk that midget. He was one of my all-time Patriots favorite when he played for us. But after the stunt he pulled when he ran out of town for less money, phuk him. I enjoy every beating he got last night, and enjoyed seeing his sorry ***** walk off the field without the trophy. Karma is a b1tch. The midget thought he’d stick it to the Pats, and get his trophy playing with Manning. Well honey… that’s what you get for the choke artist. Congrats douche.

Even with Welker's SB drop -- which would've likely sealed the game; the Pats had 3 drives to get in FG range and put the nail in the coffin and they failed on all 3; so it's not all on Welker -- it's on Brady and everyone else just as much. And the 07 one, it's on the D for not stepping up that final drive.

I really don't understand the vitriol toward Welker from the fans and from BB. Welker gave his all when he was here, never complained, and yes he missed a couple of key plays (that if other teammates stepped up would've been forgotten about). Welker wanted to come back, he asked us to match Denver's contract -- which was a reasonable contract, and one that the Pats claimed was actually less than their offer; and the Pats said they moved on.

BB has treated people who bolted just for the money or who held out better than he's treated Welker, so either something personal happened during his last year with the Pats or the negotiations got personal.

Thats more like it, now only if our defense can play with this attitude next year ... :rocker::rocker:

The teams he is on never seem to win the SB.

I know , I know. Its just that i am pi%%d off at him for the Talib hit

Yeah I do feel bad for Wes. It's such bad luck to be playing with 2 QB's who just can't get it done on the big stage these days.

But seriously, I thought Wes played very well last night. He was one of the few Broncos who came to play.
