You can't rain on our parade.
no one can rain on anyone's parade till the 07 season is in full swing.

hell i saw fans of all teams trying to rain on the colts actual parade with salary cap doom and gloom talk, it's just impossible to rain on a parade till the games get played, hell i know some raider fans who think this is their year haha

Yeah. That kind of coaching superiority makes it realistic for guys to sublimate their egos and be all about team.

The number of exceptions we have to that every year seems very low, and even then not too bad -- basically, a couple of guys annoyed about their contracts who do all the right things football-wise but grumble a bit.

E.g., Branch took a very nasty stance financially, but until the off-season where he held out, he was the consummate pro. Ditto, albeit less so, Vinateri. Samuel is a bit the same way, and I'm worried it will not end well financially -- but I am NOT worried he'll be a problem in any other way.
that's a huge reason you should be glad you didn't get donnie edwards

i won't be surprised if they longterm samuel, he's the best cb in the nfl under champ

Stallworth. good move brutha..goooood move.

judging you? i'm just pointing out how you've won the free agent sweepstakes like the redskins used to always do.

it's a valid comparison even if you say it's being managed smarter.

have i once said "oh it's impossible you'll win it all because of this"? i mean , you've got bb and brady, the best coach and qb in the nfl.

i just pointed out how historically free agent winners don't amount to much, and i've stated you have the chance to break that trend.

Personally i think if you do win it all, it's going to be more impressive than your other titles because you're now mixing alot into what was already a pretty great chemistry.

NO. What you did is make an unsupported half arsed conclusion that you can't back up with facts. And, when challenged, you just spew bs to try and cover your tracks.

Also, you need to learn to read better. I said you were judging the PATS. And you are.

And finally, your comparison isn't valid because, as others pointed out. You are sitting there like a spoiled brat with your fingers in your ears and saying "I'm right and your wrong" over and over again yet you aren't actually defending your position.

How about you answer the questions asked of you instead of dodging them and making yourself look stupid?

I'm actually expecting cap problems for the team in a few years.

Not the disaster other teams face, but problems.

Fencer, check out Miguel's future hits section. Prior to the Stallworth signing, the Pats were going to have 30+ in cap space next year. That will change because of the rookies and Stallworth singing, probably be about 20 million, but still, 20 million is a lot of money to spend.

i said you would 100% fail? all i said was history is not on your side (free agent sweepstakes winners becoming regular season losers) then i even said, maybe the pats break that trend.

every team's fans right now are pretty much calling you guys the redskins, like you've called other teams the redskins when they've "won in free agency" but because it's you, it's unwarranted.

It's understandable that you are scared to death with the FA activity of the Pats in the first 10 days. Your trolling is testimony to the fact that you want to argue a team's roster impact before the season starts. Your team has just turned over the coaching staff, and has to deal with that. They might have been ok if the other teams in the league stayed status quo. Too bad, eh?

The Stallworth addition is just another brace to make the team stronger. Brady is one happy man today with Welker and Stallworth in the fold. The RBs and OLine are happy as well, as the opponents won't be cheating for the run with their secondary as was the norm in the second half of last season. Let's hope the '07 season is injury free and the boys can just play.

pretty much just the hamstring problems and the arrest

i'm just saying i think there's a reason he was a FA, that's all

i know it's your job to defend him, he's your player now.

You're just saying that there's a reason he was a free agent? Yes, there is a reason. Its because he voided the last year of his contract. HE CHOSE to because a UFA.

FWIW - The Patriots signed 18 UDFAs in 2006. And I'm pretty sure that the Pats signed around that number of UDFAs each and every year.

The 18 were
Jon Doty, Patrick Cobbs, Jakari Wallace, nose tackle Remi Ayodele(Oklahoma); Center Brian Barthelmes (Virginia); Quarterback Corey Bramlet (Wyoming); Cornerback Vernell Brown (Florida); Wide receiver Erik Davis (Vanderbilt); Defensive end Kader Drame (Syracuse); Offensive tackle Randy Hand (Florida); Safety Jarvis Herring (Florida); Safety Keon Jackson (Toledo); Linebacker Corey Mays (Notre Dame); Linebacker Freddie Roach (Alabama); Wide receiver Matt Shelton (Notre Dame); Safety Sam Smith (Delaware State); Cornerback Gemara Williams (Buffalo); Linebacker Pierre Woods (Michigan).

Thanks for the correction Miguel.

now if CJ gets healthy and learns the playbook..we could have the fastest pair of WRs in league :O

i'm just saying he took over a couple 4-12 teams

he's actually getting comparisons to belichik lol, it's hilarious

like i said, jury's still out , but you know what you heard about bb coming to NE , they looked at his work in cleveland and just laughed at him till he proved himself.

jury's out on norv, but if he messes up a 14-2 team, then yes, he's worse than marty

(if you do research on his coaching jobs though, you'll see he has never had so much to work with, as he will in 07)

He had some pretty good talent on those Redskin teams. The Raiders team was 1 year removed from having gone to the SB.

What a way to start the day... I'll be dreaming all day of those future deep passes from Brady to Stallworth

2007 will probably be a stepping stone year for Jackson but in 2008, him and Stallworth could be quite a pair. Add in Watson will still be signed for two more years and Maroney and that's one hell of a big, fast group - if they all come through.

lol scared? yeah i'm scared of a 3 time superbowl winner....uh earth to Clev, who isn't scared of tom brady aside from condoms (ok bad joke) but seriously, everyone is scared of brady, he's 2nd all time to montana for god's sake. i'm not scared of stallworth in the least. thomas is very good though. not really scared of your rbs at all. the chargers will still be able to run on you at will, maybe now that marty's gone we won't choke as much :rocker:

like i said though, free agency winners = regular season losers usually

we'll see if that trend gets broken.
The off-season of 2003 says hi. Try research.

He had some pretty good talent on those Redskin teams. The Raiders team was 1 year removed from having gone to the SB.
he had a bunch of old talent, that was over the hill, he'll now have youth and talent, so we shall see what comes of that.

the sd at NE game will be great , but pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of the 07 season.

There you go again with the reading comprehension. Putting words up that aren't there.

Yes, I know you CLAIM that history is not on the Pats side. I challenged you to prove your claim. You have not done so.

Also, please show me a season where the Redskins went 12-4 and then have signed GOOD (not mediocre) free agents.

And please show me where I have called other teams "The Redskins when it came to winning free agency?

Well, if the Pats don't get a good run-stuffing ILB, I agree that the Chargers will probably run on the Pats. However, the Chargers got to face the Pats without Seau. And, even though I didn't like the signing, Seau proved that he still has what it takes. The Pats defense with Seau in there was limited teams tremendously on the run. Without Seau, teams ran on us.

OK, I just woke up and heard this news. Is this for real?

Man, I didn't expect him to sign here. What an uexpected surprise.
