IMO Gronk is showing great maturity

I'm soooo tired of this guy and when he is coming back - if your ready to go then go - hard to feel anything positive for this guy when you see others out there - Vareen played with a broken wrist, Amendola is hurting and others getting taped up and coming back into the game.

Gronkowski's back issues caused him to sit out an entire year of his college career. The break was troubling, but the back issue could cause him an early exit from the Pats forever. Working through injuries that can be taped or numbed is one thing. Potentially chronic and career ending issues, when the Pats are 4-1 and don't necessarily need him to win, is another story entirely. Back injuries are not like sprains, pulls or bruises. It is hard enough to stand up, let alone move with speed and force.

I could really care less about whether his 'camp' planned week 6 arbitrarily. My concern is solely if it helps him play out the season and future seasons. He makes the team better when healthy. If he is gimpy or 75% and apt to reinjure himself, then stay on the bench and heal.

That's fine you want to sit out till week six go for it but let everybody know so we don't have to listen to this crap week after week. It's too bad I know but my feeling is still the same about seeing others out their and he is not. I don't know, maybe my feelings are like this cause all we have heard is about him and when he is coming back, but it is what it is.

I am not sure how much it's Gronk and how much it's the team with this discussion (the 'decoy' factor in game planning). That's the problem with the media games and injury reports. I guess I don't view Gronk as Favre-like with his injury status yet.
