Skip Bayless ?@RealSkipBayless 54m
Must admit, Seahawks looking like more of a threat to New England in the AFC than Denver is right now.

That's ESPN's finest right there.

EDIT: Oops, It's a joke that went over my head. :bricks

He said Tebow was going to take over as the starter from Brady.

I can't see how ESPN takes this guy seriously. Though, I could say that about a lot of there analysts.

Look at some of the sports writers for the Globe (among others) then say that again. The profession of well known sports writer/personality is a utopian club for talentless success. They're like the Kardashians just without boobs and without the 55 gallon drum of makeup. Worse than that, the fickle vacuum of pop media will make the Kardashians go away someday, the Bayless and Borges are literally never going away (it's a job that has virtual lifelong tenure).

The one thing I'll credit Skip Bayless and the rest of these rubes with, they may be jeered by most, but at the end of the day they go home to some of the best neighborhoods and they/their kids don't swim in a sea of debt to attend a good school/college .

LOL the Seahawks are so good they're going to win both conferences this year and play the Super Bowl against themselves.

I dunno, I sometimes forget Seattle is NFC so I can forgive him for this senior moment.

I don't know the guy, but he was obviously just dismissing Denver with an oxymoronic hyperbole.

they should extend the new concussion test to members of the media.

Bayless is an idiot, but I will give him this: the Broncos have not been all that impressive this preseason. Their defense has been poor. I think Manning's arm strength may be worse than last year. Their o-line struggles a lot. Their special teams suck. They make too many mistakes like fumbling.

It is the preseason. So a lot of this stuff may not carry into the regular season. But if this is the Broncos we are going to see this year, the shouldn't be considered the AFC favorites.

Bayless' tweet shows that he is complete moron, but the theme of the tweet us a point.

Welker looked like his outstanding self though. Tough coverage job for Arrington come the fall.

Skip is hilarious if you don't take him too seriously. Used to tune into first take for the lolz.

I think Manning's receivers as a whole are out shining him. Welker looked good. Thomas made a few leaping grabs of ball that Manning's passes were off target.

Welker's injury last night could hamper his production if it is anything serious. He left the game after his TD with a sprained ankle. I am guessing it is minor though since he didn't look like he was injured.

BTW, I think that Bayless was being ironic with his post. Looking at it, I think he was saying that Denver played so bad that an NFC team has a better shot to win the AFC than them.

I am usually the first to bash Bayless, but I think people are misreading the context of his tweet.

Skip Bayless is a Media Flasher (look at me). I lived in Dallas during their glory years and Bayless was a sports writer for one of the Dallas newspapers. He wrote a book and to sell copies stated Troy Aikman was gay. Put a stopwatch on him anytime he has face-time for an outrageous comment.

I think Seattle is an excellent team, but the Bayless reference distorts the credibility.

I'd bet that Belichick has over the years made note of the tactics that other teams use, or that he hopes they don't use, to slow Welker down, and will deploy them full force. It may simply be having Collins stand over him at the LOS and beat the cr@p out of him on every single play.

Anything that Skip Bayless will do to get attention is what Skip Bayless is all about, including trying to sending mixed messages about Seattle winning the AFC. He does this crap on purpose.

With that said - Denver looks like ****. Not impressed with their defense whatsoever. Same goes for their special teams.

It would be kind of funny that Denver had to rely on just Manning, Thomas, Welker, and Decker to win games this year.

I'm still not convinced that Russell Wilson is a stud at QB for the Seahawks.

I'm not even sure the Hawks are the best team in that division, the 49ers are.,the 49ers can still win the division if Kaepernick stinks this year because their roster is stacked and in solid depth all over....not so sure if the Seahawks can overcome a mediocre year from Wilson.
