Report: Welker “seriously considering” leaving Patriots

He's that kid that screams at his parents and says he's leaving home and comes back 10 minutes later. Instead of considering or being upset why doesn't he actually leave? He's had a 3 day period to get offers from other teams and has been on the market for 20 hours. If he wanted to go he'd be gone.

I fear he will join the broncos just like Adam V did with the colts.

Let him leave, he needs the Pats way more then they need him.

This is getting annoying for over a week we have known he will test the market not sure how this or anything being reported the last 24 hours is any different than that report a week except they use different verbiage.

Testing the market to me is the same as seriously considering leaving.

This all seems agent driven to me. Maybe I'm wrong.

Considering he has not received an acceptable offer from the Patriots, how could he not be considering his only option (besides retirement)?

If another team had offered him something, we would have heard.

Yeah, his 100 catches a year are easily replaceable. The Patriots draft WRs so well I'm sure we'll forget about him in a week!

I'll be sad to see him leave but honestly he is the Manning of receivers. He cost the team in the SB and had several key drops in other play off games. I hope they still can work a deal out but if not I just hope he doesn't go to the Broncos. Great player but I remember saying him money isn't the issue and he made way more money as a football player than he imagined.

Leave you twirp, seriously sick of hearing about him. Sign Amendola and start adding other key pieces.

This.

These bluffs are both hilarious and obvious. Welker hasn't left yet because there isn't a team out there willing to pay him remotely what he thinks he deserves.

If there's a team out there offering him Mike Wallace or Dwayne Bowe type money and he gave NE the chance to match it, BB would respond with, "Congrats on the contract and we wish you the best" and this pissing match would be over. Instead, Welker's just butthurt he hasn't gotten any interest in free agency.

Do you recall when he said that?

Would we? I'd be willing to bet that the pundits only get 1 out of every 3 teams who have "shown interest" in players..

Can't blame Welker one bit, who wouldn't want to get away from the most ignorant fans in football.

I've always hoped, but not expected, for Welker's return.

That said, this manufactured drama can end already.

Who said anything about him playing for the JEST?

Overly spoiled by recent success, perhaps, but not ignorant.

Tom Brady. For the next 5 years, at least.

No he's not.

He's a savvy businessman. it's called posturing. Free agents do it all the time. The Patriots do it all the time.

Don't be a fool.

EDIT:
Wow, reading the rest of these posts. I personally would be okay with him walking and saving money for defense. But wow you guys are freaking embarrassing. Welker deserves better. Why would he want to play for such a stupid unthankful spoiled fanbase.
