On to Hawaii

Patriots coach Bill Belichick and the team's coaching staff have departed for Hawaii, where they will lead the AFC in the Pro Bowl.

Some coaches left as early as Thursday, with others departing as late as this weekend.

The game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10.

As for our plan today at Super Bowl XLI, the hope is to pass on the inactive players before kickoff, share some of the pre-game scene, check in with halftime analysis, and then wrap up the night with some comments from both teams.

Here's hoping they all have a great time in the sunshine and warmth but I'll worry until we hear that everyone is back safe and sound. The Pats do not have great history with this stupid game (Tedy and Robert Edwards) and frankly the Pro Bowl has me a little spooked.

I wonder if any of the local mediots have fenagled a trip to Hawaii to cover the potentially crisis pending spectre of BB coaching a bunch of rival players (some of whom dissed him and his team) in a meaningless game. Watching how he interacts with the national media in what is generally an NFL staged yukfest should be a novel experience to say the least...
