So much for Moss "media silence"

Pretty cool seeing those TDs again. So many special moments there, the speed Moss had, that thing he does with his arms where they come out of nowhere into all sorts of weird positions to snatch the football. (And kind of funny to hear Collinsworth scolding Moss for getting a penalty on 22/49. That's Collinsworth. OTOH, great to hear Brady at the end of all the 23/50 celebration say in the background "lots more to do guys." Also wonder who got to keep the ball on 23/50 - -I think it was Moss.)

Brady-Moss was amazing while it lasted. Shame about 2008. And sad that the last image of Moss in a Patriots uniform was that MNF game in Miami, when Brady made it clear the team was moving on without him, and that final shot of Moss on the sideline looking out on the field, almost in tears, knowing he effed up a good thing. By all accounts he's a good teammate in SF, and I'm glad to hear that. Guy truly is a football player and he proved that the only person who could stop Randy Moss was Randy Moss.

By the way, some of those TD passes reminded me of Gronk. Just the hand and ball skills and the height. Wouldn't be surprised to see him break the record some day (he still leads the league in TD receptions this year!)

Moss (along with Rodney & Junior) was one of a few guys who I wish played their whole careers with the Pats. Moss was past his prime in 2007, it is frightening to thik what number he would have put up if he were in NE earlier in his career.

The 23 TD video was fun. I agree, what a shame that Moss didn't get it until after he was fired. It was a fun ride, but I'd rather have another Lombardi. Football, more than any other sport, is a team game. Randy got that probably a day too late.

Probably going to the hall of fame.

Probably going to the hall of fame.

Maybe -- in the video, you see Moss after 50/23 going toward the sideline with the ball and tossing it to someone to hold on to. H of F makes sense.

I'm sorry if this thread was an over reaction, but the "Try not to let Tom and the offense run the score up on us" sounded like a little dig. Am I wrong?

Depends on what you think his intent is. He never bashed the Patriots so I think it's safe to assume he is still friendly with the team which makes it more of a complement.

I kind of feel sorry for him, you can tell that he is trying so hard not to say anything negative or inflammatory but he just doesn't have the oration skills so he ends up saying things a little wrong, and of course people then pick it apart word for word.

man i watched that video again...his best year ever and brady best ever...just great...still a moss fan even though he screwed up but he never says anything bad about the pats now (besides that post game interview) Great hall of fame player.

Have his authentic jersey and was this close to having him sign it..would have been in a frame right now.....ok ballwashing over....go pats

I hate when people do that

:D

I will never have anything bad to say about Randy. I miss him alot and really wish things had turned out differently. He will go down as being one of my favourite pats players of all time . Years ago when he played in Minnesota I was so envious of them. I wanted him to be a Patriot and got my wish for a few brief years. I wish him all the best and if the Patriots do not reach the SB, then I wouldn't mind seeing the niners there mainly because of him !

the only thing that sounded like a dig was calling BB a so-called genius but it's probably more poor wording.

When I saw the title of this thread, I was like,

Such a shame, he could of still been part of this juggernaut as the WR3/deep threat.

Didn't the Dali Lama play a round there once and hit it long into the ravine?

Big hitter, the Lama. Yeah, I caddied for him once. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Manningham is out. Expect Moss to start alongside Crabtree and get plenty of reps, considering Ted Ginn and AJ Jenkins are the only backups.
