Amazing Stat: The Brady/Belichick duo has never lost.........

I used to find a measure of comfort in those stats. But around 2009, we started to learn that streaks end, and we've seen plenty end over the last three years.

Not that I think the Pats are going to lose Sunday.

Then again, in my preseason prediction thread, I had the Seattle game down as one of those inexplicable losses.

I agree, while clearly these stats are true they should not be used to predict the future.

And yes, in 2009 we all heard the stat that the Pats were something like 50-1 in games they led going into the fourth quarter under Belichick. Of course, they lost at least four such games in 2009 (at Indy, at Miami, at Denver, at Houston).

Why? The Niners offense should have a moderate amount of success against our secondary, but their defense hasn't seen an offense like our's.

I think they lose becasue they won't win out..and it will be a tough game..one of the toughest if not toughest opponents the pats have to still play. Them and Houston...two very tough games

Useless stat. Just a happenstance.

Exactly. If the Pats win today it's because of what happened on the field TODAY, nothing else. Stats like this are mindnumbingly lame.

OMFG! THE PATS HAVE NEVER LOST WHEN THE TEMPERATURE HAS BEEN BETWEEN 40 and 57 AND WITH WIND LESS THAN 8MPH! THERE'S NO WAY WE LOSE THIS GAME!!!111!!!00!!!

Very soon, no stat will be left amazing anymore. I knew this Wilson kid's long balls were going to be trouble all day.
I think we just don't have the right setup to train our secondary for such passes.

Going 1-3 against the NFC this year looks like a challenge.

i blame this thread for jinxing the team today

I can't wait for PFinPA's post in two weeks when we play St. Louis:

AMAZING STAT!!! The Patriots have never lost to THREE NFC teams in a regular season in the Brady/Belichick era!!!

Same, but I expected that the Patriots come into Seattle with just 1 loss to the Ravens. :(

Hitting myself over the head with this one......but it SHOULD have been a win

The team is pulling losses out of wins.....it's alarming.

No that won't be my thread

That thread will be ....

The Pats have never lost in London in their history

A lot of good this stat did.

The Patriots never lose home openers either. Oh wait.

Oh, and it's extremely rare that they lose two in a row. Oh wait.

Oh, and they haven't been under 0.500 in like forever. Oh wait.
