Do you respect the Colts?

Peyton whines every game no matter the score or outcome.
Polian whines every game no matter the score or outcome.
Dallas Clark wonders why no Pats/Colts game are ever played in Indy. Obviously not understanding to play post season games at the RCA Dome, you have to be better than NE. Brainless.

BUT, very rarely is a Colts player "character" called into question. Will you see Joe Addai stopped at the airport because of (alleged) weed in his water bottle? No. Just those nice Inside the NFL segments explaning how his best friend got paralized during a high school game and that he still supports the guy to this day. Financially and emotionally.

I think it's okay to call out the whiners on this team because they DO complain. Alot. But as far as "respect" goes... all of them are class from top to bottom. No Merriman or LT's here.

When Peyton threw 4 picks in the AFC title game in 03, he took every question from the media afterwards. Nothing bad to say about the NE organization. No sour grapes... i.e. San Diego. That is class, IMO.

Definitly, even if Manning is mr. sellout.

The players? Most of them (I can't stand Peyton or Dallas Clark). The organization itself? Not with that scumbag Polian as President.

That's about how I feel.

How can you respect an organization whose first goal is to change all rules to benefit themselves?

I hate the way football has become in recent years, and it is largely due to Polian.

I respect them as a solid NFL franchise who, for the most part, has a bunch of classy players and classy coaches. Don't confuse 'respect' with 'fear', though.

I'd respect Peyton more if he wasn't a money whore and tried to get every nickel from endorsements he could.

I agreed with you until this line. He did whine and have sour grapes. He complained about the holding calls, etc. Also, after the Steelers loss, he blamed his o-line. Classy guys assume responsibility, not deflect it. Marvin Harrison is classy for the most part, but I don't feel the same way about #18

He is the highest paid player in the NFL. He gets more than enough respect.

Bingo! Polian is worse than "arrogant" or a "jerK. He put himself ina polsition to influence how rules are called, actually gets rules changed, or even which rules are emphasized (notice he doesn't complain about no emphasis on offensive holding.)

Most everything else about the Colts I DO respect, but what Polian does makes it impossible to ever be happy with the Colts winning, as long as Polian is there.

It's interesting that the Colts have begun to recognize that all that matters is winning and not worrying about putting up great individual stats. They have been battle-hardened this season by having to fight hard to the end in some games. They also seem to recognize that defense is not a dirty word.

I fully expect that in the future when Manning, Harrison, and Wayne's skills have faded somewhat and the Colts finally add some quality defenders, that Polian will "see the light" and change some of the rule empases since they have gotten to favor the offense too much.

Nope. Bill Polian ruins it for me.

I hate them but I respect them.

What football fan could not respect them? They are a good football team.

:agree:

These guys have been deep in the playoffs for the past five years. Only a fool wouldn't respect them. If our run hadn't occured then it's likely the Colts may have won a SB by now.

I hate them too,but i think they've a good team and i respect them
