I listened to Mut and Merloni bemoan this today and I just laughed my ***** off. Not even a hockey fan and this guy has catapulted himself into my Hall of Fame. Anyone who gives the media less than they feel they're entitled to is OK with me. The media think it's their birth-right to get every bit of information about everything on demand. It's, "How dare he not be immediately forthright with us!" Screw them.

I love Belichick's press conferences almost as much as I loved Rondo's postgame interview the other night. Anytime the media is visibly taken aback by someone's refusal to participate in the standard dog-and-pony show that inevitably leads to reckless speculation and axe-grinding, I'm all for it.
