Re: I can't take this crap anymore.

I can take all this crap and will continue to take all this crap for as long as Bill Belichick and Tom Brady serve winning seasons and Superbowl runs.

Re: I can't take this crap anymore.

Its your time to give your team somthing back, how a bit loyalty or some support? this is the time that a true fan is measured.

you win, you lose. thats what sports is all about.

It's a special world we live in that people are discussing cheating given every team tapes from the sidelines.

Football comes down to executing in critical moments. The sooner some of you dullards accept that the better. In the last 5 years, the Patriots come playoffs have not executed in critical moments. That is it.

Words cant describe how I am feeling right now. Pissed off, angry, RAGE, worried. I am a Patriots fan and WILL ALWAYS BE A PATRIOTS FAN. I am pissed off because the Patriots beat themselves, I am angry because I have to hear it from all this ****ING giant fans. I am worried not football related, but for my son who might need surgery to open up the anterior fontanelle so his brain can grow. It will take me a while to watch anything sports related. I will probably get back into the full swing come free agency. LETS HOPE WE FIX THE DEFENSE. The Giants were on their own 10 yard line and marched down the field with ease! That drive brought back memories of the OTHER Superbowl that should not be named! I have to get to class, I hope none of my fellow patriots fans are on suicide watch. LETS GET THE SB WIN NEXT SEASON! GO PATRIOTS!

Re: I can't take this crap anymore.

I don't get this type of thinking. It's like people forget how difficult it is to win.

We won 3 Superbowls by a combined 9 points.

We lost 2 Superbowls by a combined 8 points.

There is such a thin line between victory and defeat in every single one of those games. We could be 5-0 in Superbowls under BB and TFB. We could be 0-5 just as easily too.

Yeah, it hurts a lot to know we were so close. It's how Rams fans felt. It's how Panthers fans felt. It's how Eagles fans felt. But unlike those 3 fan bases who have never made it back since, we have, and the window is still open for a few more trips.

So if that worries you, there are plenty of other teams that could satisfy your desire of not going to the Superbowl. I mean a LOT of other teams.

One more morning rant.

9-7 Giants, hoist the lombardi.

Resurgent 11-5 Pats with Cassel, stay at home.

Re: I can't take this crap anymore.

That was my last game watched as a fan. I'd rather be a bad team that dosen't make it at all. Hell, if we had lost to the Ravens, and I saw that the Giants had won, I would have been relieved.

I hate the Mannings more than I hate anything in the world, especially Eli. He's good, but he's just SO lucky. Look at his final stats. Nothing great. And that team gets ALL the breaks (the two fumble recoveries.)

As someone with depression anyway, it's not mentally healthy for me to watch these games especially with the anti-Pats bias.

And as much as I hate to say it, Belichick is WAY overrated at this point in his career. What has he won since having a once in a lifetime team in the early 2000s? Coughlin owns him.

I can't place any blame on Brady. Not his best game, but he was on, and Welker should have caught that ball.

I realized, just stay away from football. The Pats are a ****tease of a team...getting THAT far, only to invent new ways to lose at the most important game of the season.

Like I said last night when I made that thread about not being able to take another heartbreaking Manning loss, I rather would have gotten blown out. I was svckered into thinking they were going to win.

And this isn't just "letting steam out." If it weren't for the pills I'm on, I'd likely be in the hospital over this. Not good for my health. Luckily, my cable is already uninstalled and going to basic cable (channels 2, 3, 5, 7 et all) tomorrow morning when the cable guy comes so don't have to hear the pats hatred and eli ballwashing.

This is singlehandedly the worst sports loss of my life, worse than 42. 42 we were outplayed completely. This game was ours for the taking if Welker makes a catch he makes 10 out of 10 times in the regular season. Don't give me that "It was a difficult catch" bs...Manningham made a much tougher catch in double coverage and he isn't half the receiver Welker is.

So adios Pats, good luck going 12-4 next year and losing in the playoffs again. No thanks.

And you felt compelled to share your self-pity with us? Here's a suggestion about all the stuff you don't like on cable--turn it off.

Considering The Patriots would not even be there if Sterling Moore didnt break up that lee Evans pass, im not quite as upset as i could be. The Pats came really close and blew it, but hey, they got a young defense, 2 stud TEs, Welker will be back and The Patriots will probably bring in someone like Brandon Lloyd to replace Ocho.

My only concern is Tom Brady and his deteriorating accuracy and power, in the AFCCG he missed wide open targets all game, and several of his passes in the Superbowl. im not saying you trade Brady because you couldn't possibly do that, but out of our entire team, Brady is the one player i worry about next year the most.

Giants fans love to troll. I saw this on the Packers boards too

So this person is in the process of informing anyone who'll read his posts what a whiny self-pitying tool he is? Sorry I read it. Probably builds his self-esteem.

Age and injuries, loss of arm strength have strange and cruel way of catching up with an NFL QB who are 35+, and that too rather quickly....P. Manning, Favre, Elway Marino, Young, Montana just to name a few examples

At best it is a 2 year window with Brady and this version of the Patriots.

His prime years in playoffs were spent throwing to likes of Sam Aiken, Gaffney, Watson.......but hey we got plenty of draft picks ! wohoooo looking forward to the next Chad Jackson, Bethel Johnson, Brandon Tate

There was that safety to start Pats 1st "Offensive" series. Then TD 9-0. Fumbles bouncing back to Giants. One taken away from Nics offsides. Drop balls. Brady heaving an INT down field when he could have ran right for good yardage eating clock and bein up. With all that said, Welker got open with a blown cover 2 coverage and dropped a ball he caught many times and that play at 20 with a TD Pats can possibly go up by 9 with clock going down. That drop was HUGE!

Eli bounced several passes. He made some great throws too, but his receivers made some tremendous catches (the leaping grab by Nicks over the middle early on and the Manningham sideline catch late come to mind). Pats' receivers didn't make one single "great" catch last night, and they dropped a few easy ones (and one - Welker's - that wasn't "easy", but it was definitely catchable). If NE's receivers had made the "great" catches instead of the Giants' receivers, Brady would be holding his 3rd SB MVP right now instead of Eli.

Until his last 3 plays (spike, INC to Branch, INC hail mary) Brady was 27-38 (71.1%). In the Super Bowl. That's pretty awesome. In fact, here were 8 of Brady's incompletions:

- thrown away under pressure (1st play - getting rid of it was the right play...didn't like that penalty b/c it's NEVER called in that situation, which is probably why Brady threw it there)

- 2 knockdowns by JPP

- spike to stop the clock

- 2 drops by Hernandez

- tough play, but Welker's drop that he makes 95% of the time

- last two INC in the waning seconds

That's 8 of the 14 incompletions...not his fault. It's not like he was off-target all day. He was slightly off on a few throws, but, like I said, so was Eli. It's just that Eli's receivers made up for it with great catches that NE's receivers didn't make.

It happens.

From now on I am just going to turn the tv off when the Patriots go to the empty set.

The offence never turned up, Gronkowski was not fit to play I think and overall we were trying to hard.

12 men on the field, ouch. That turn over would have been tasty.

Fairweather fans???

Will this latest Super Bowl Loss clear out those among us who only cheer for Super Bowl winning teams??

I have already seen a few comments in other threads- its very frustrating to read-how can you not continue to cheer for your team I just don't get it not the way I was brought up- Its your team win or lose.

The biggest problem, which nobody seems to have locked onto yet, was the coaching.

- Crap offensive playcalling.
- Bad clock management.
- That idiotic challenge to waste a second half timeout.
- Allowing **** like 12 men on the field to happen.

As usual, BB and staff failed in the biggest game.

As usual, Coughlin owned Belichick.

EDIT: Did they really think putting a lame Gronk out there would fool the Giants very long? Come on.

Re: Fairweather fans???

I hope so. I mean I'm always getting **** saying I only follow the patriots 'cause they're ''the best''

My teams my team. If others want to jump ship then do so. One loss against a good team, when we didn't perform to our best is understandable imo.

Re: Fairweather fans???

Oh great....the "I stand all game and cheer therefore I'm a real fan" thread.

Re: Fairweather fans???

No, I think fans are just upset we lost. Losing a super bowl isn't a good thing, and we shouldn't look for the happy fans s the only true fans.
