I was under the impression the Pats were getting decent pressure on him for the last 5 drives or so, and immediately went away from what was making them successful in that time frame.

Mistake one: Not rushing at least 4 men. The idea here is to make him get it out of his hands quickly and make the tackle'

Mistake two. They were in zone coverage and Sergio was supposed to have the deep outside. However there was no one threatening McCourty in front of him, and he SHOULD have stayed with him deep. A bad mistake of judgement. Just an example of a young player who was so worried about doing "what he was supposed to do", he failed to do what his EYES told him what he should have done.

And ANOTHER reason why Sergio Brown should only be on the field on special teams

To be fair to Sergio, he had to cover two go routes on his side of the field, and he correctly chose the inside one.
