The worst part is that rooting for the Pats this year is bitter sweet. They will make the postseason, but with a defense that can't stop the run or pass and a coach who can't gameplan, they will lose their first game.

The gloom'n'doomers are "realists". This D sucks beyond belief. Belichick can no longer be relied upon to bring talent onto the squad - and I wonder if he can even coach or supervise defense. This is unreal. Another year of Brady's prime goes to waste. Our Defense has officially sucked since '07. We were destroying Miami in a regular season game and BB put Brady on the bench but then had to put Brady back in the game b/c our D couldn't hold the lead. Then of course, the whole league was put on notice that our pass D suddenly sucked at the end of SB 42. The pass defense has never recovered.... now it looks like our run D has gone the way of our pass D. At this point, can our D do anything?

By the way, nice run back of the blocked PAT by Sergio Brown. Too bad he can't play defense. But that's one thing Bill can still do, he still has the ability to find the 2nd tier talent it takes to field a full special teams squad.

Belichick's front office maneuvering will be the death of this franchise. Please Mr. Kraft, stop letting Bill shop for the groceries.

Every week its the same thing, the same posters screaming, crying, and staring into the abyss, yet they have won 25 of 30 with a play-off loss. While no-one can argue that defense doesn't look like crap the bottom line is that they find a way to win week after week while half the fanbase is shrieking about how doomed they are. it's really unbelievable.

They are winning games only because of #12. Put Tebow on the Patriots and see what happens.
