omg the ancient old balls of Alge Crumpler have been resurrected

this is 2 random threads in a row that were brought up and came out from the bowels of Patsfans.com

Ah...the young balls vs old balls debate.

Funny..none of them stuck around. But I do think Alge might be back late in the season or in the playoffs.

no 1 won, but I did win it in principle since I said Crump would be cut. It's not my Fault Smith and Yeatman were not good enough. We took the chance on 2 guys they weren't world beaters so we essentially sent them off to the PS [ and you know the rest]

I like having Solder as a TE if we need him... it's much more reasonable for the 53.

Meh..******* Alge...i still think we could've used him this year. Bringing in those scrubs would hardly replace his leadership and blocking.

If so, I hope his hands are better than they were in last year's playoffs, when he'd been practicing all season.

That said, when he is compared to anybody else who's been in that role or is likely to be, he seems like a sure-hands in comparison ...

Meh...he made a mistake sure...but you saw what kind of a player he is when he didn't quit on that Brady interception. That should've been a pick six for Harris.

And I think he might have hurt his shoulder on that play and it is still bothering him.

You said Smith would make the roster over Crumpler. This is one of those cases where we were all wrong.

man opened up so many holes for the running game. He was awesome last year and a major reason why benny got to 1000 yards.

Just cannot forget THAT drop.

As if that was the sole reason we lost. I can recall quite a few boneheaded plays on that day.

I personally wanted Alge to return more than a guy like Faulk. He could still be a good blocker and make the occasional catch. He was definately a big part of the running game. It seemed that BB liked the guy so i wonder if his injury was the problem.

I never said it was the only boneheaded play.
