They should have just paid Assante in the first place. :bricks:

Well that was fine.....until he got his ridiculous contract that wasn't deserved.
I like your analogy....which hit home with what my kid went thru this week. I get an email from my son's English teacher saying he had to go to detention and talk with the school counselor because he didn't submit homework...and laughed about it when he was informed of his detention. I find out later that 12 out of 14 students missed the assignment and that the teacher incorrectly listed the assignment on the school website. The kids laughed as each kid walked thru the door completely ignorant of the assignment. Instead of dealing with her own mistake, the teacher punished.
Back to football....who is the DB coach?
nothing to lose taking a chance on Darren Sharper
Nonsense. People are fine with a lot of picks. People weren't fine with picks like
Butler
Jackson
Wheatley
Wilhite
Crable
Tate
O'Connell
etc...
However, there was all kinds of love about Mayo, Chung, Gronk (except for injury worries), Spikes, Barwin (Just in case Patsnutme is reading ), etc...

They were also high on Crable, Tate, and even O'Connell.
If a guy has been sitting around doing nothing until this point in the year and he hasn't been hurt.......well there is a reason for that.
People were high on the Potential of Crable and Tate. No one was high on O'Connell. Most, if not all were scratching their heads.
Please tell me where I cited Terrell Owens and Mike Vick? Thank you for putting words in my mouth.
Congrats, you have tenure on a Football forum but you're just like those Teachers who have taught for 25 years and are worse than the young pup right out of college.
Oh also Leigh Bodden was the #3 or #4 top highest paid player on the team. Granted he still is going to get paid that but I do believe it has in-season salary cap implications (we don't get all of the room back but we do get some).
Wilhite, Sanders and Butler are starters.
I don't think so. Check the depth charts of their respective teams.
Deus - Not sure where you were, but a majority of the draftniks LOVED getting Chad Jackson in the 2nd round. As mentioned, many thought the Pats had gotten the best WR in the draft. Jackson has all the physical tools, he didn't have the mental ones and couldn't get on the same page as Brady.
