Reiss reported that Rodney had left the sideline and is in the locker room. I tought that when he was walking around that he would be ok. But, when I saw him talking to Tedy, he didn't look too happy.

We need Rodney for the playoffs. Keep your fingers and toes crossed.

it would s**k if he is out...ironically ..last time he got injured was before a jet game...

I have a good feeling about this. When in doubt, you go to the locker room. Better that than a cart any day. A cart almost always means you're done. I have to think the x-rays were precautionary. Also it was his right knee which is the good one.

Sounded like he was walking around fine. I don't think he'll miss the Jets game but I'm sure if he does miss that one he'll miss no more.

Since we now are connoisseurs of body language,
in the handful of tv shots of #37 on the sideline i thought
that his body language was mixed ...
didn't appear to be in pain, but wasn't happy.

Reiss also said that he walked to the lockerroom unaided.

Patriots 5th quarter said that Rodney left the locker room early, but was walking on his own, no crutches, no casts or braces, and no visible limp. They were speculating it was an impact injury to his shin. That would be no big deal. Lets hope.

That moment he and Tedy shared on the bench didn't look encouraging. The other thing that isn't is that they reported on the post game TV show that he left the stadium ahead of the team, before the media was allowed in for post game interviews. Although they did say he walked out under his own power, no crutches or visible precautions. Probably jetting home with the boss I'd bet to get an MRI. X-rays are fairly useless if it's muscle/tendon/soft tissue damage they are concerned about. Hopefully it's just a deep bruise that could hurt like hell for a week or so ala Brady's back/shoulder.

If there's a football god out there somewhere please give Rodney 4 more games
.... just 4 more. (We can bargain for 19 more next year)

Let's hope that he was just more upset that he wasn't being allowed back into the game, instead of being injurred to the point that he would need to miss extended time.

It's like he's made out of glass. No disrespect. But, I've came to accept (a while ago) that he's just not going to be able to stay healthy and the team will win with out him.

They're only football players. Not battle hardened like internet tough guys.

Someone in the chat room mentioned that they saw Rodeny running wind sprints on the sidelines at the end of the game. I don't think Rodney will be an issue.

BTW, Mike Reiss popped his head into the chat room for a few minutes after the game.

Yep, I knew that would be misinterpreted. Maybe it's his age I don't know. But, he has spent more time off the field than on the last 2 years and I've just stopped being too concerned if he plays or not. As great as he has been he's not getting any younger.

Good news.

Not to complain, but few people realize I battle through carpal tunnel syndrome and still manage to post.

Just saying.:rocker:

Apparently he gave a quote about what a cheap shot artist Wade is so he was available to the media after all.

1.) TENN C Maweau goes out of his way to cheap shot Bruschi with a late hit which draws an instant 15 yd penalty. 2.) Harrison is submarined and injured by an intent-to-injure cheap shot by WR Wade. 3.) Titan DL is totally frustrated that his 150% effort to disable Brady with a low-leg kill shot at Pat's goal line (reference: Steelers Joey Porter cheap shot 2001 AFC Title game v. Brady) somehow does not hit the bull's eye, but also draws a 15 yd penalty as the referee fully appreciates the assassin's true motive.

The Titan's awoke a sleeping giant, and deservedly paid a steep price.

Funny thing is I heard some Titan fan call up FOXSports radio show after the game and he was complaining that Brady played (since they already were in the playoffs he adds) and that they were playing cheap like letting Testaverde go for a TD pass. After that and listening to that crowd booing every call that was against their them I am convinced no one in TN knows anything about football.

I'd say this is more or less true. In TN it's college football first, pros second. It's been my experience the vast majority of "college only" football fans are highly uneducated about the game and not at all football savy. That's how it is in my state. For most here, the world of football begins and ends at the corner of Lindsey and Jenkinks St. in Norman (where OU's stadium is). I'm sure it's the same way in TN.

That explains a lot right there with Mawae leading the way I think it was the end of the 03 regular season where he almost put Seymore out for the playoffs with a cheap shot to the knees. I thought Fisher was a good coach who did things the right way....guess i was wrong--hope all you knuckleheads enjoy playing golf

I believe it was Ted Washington that Mawae put on the sidelines for around 6 weeks in 2003 with a broken leg.
