Per a few twitters.. Chris Price broke the news first.

Who will take their places?

Both players have eligibility to return to the PS.

NOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo!

All is LOST!

Don't they need to start making room for the practice squad players?

They're probably making room for a couple of players to return from PUP.

I wonder just how much Brown/Barrett were dinged up for last game.

If you consider them both Safeties then either/both Brown/Barrett are healthy/accepted back or we have new Safety(ies) coming in.

We don't need to clear roster space for PUP players until we're ready to use them (in the first three weeks). So, maybe we've got some action going on. We certainly can use some help at Safety.

Here come Brace and Deaderick!

UNLEASH THE CANNON IF Vollmer is still hurt Cannon='s better Swing RT option than Welch's Grape Juice

edit- is it possible to play both positions G and T well?

Here comes the most clutch faulking player I've ever seen.

Here come Brace and Deaderick!

I think Brace first. Prob for Steelers game. Healthy enough where we don't have to make a call right away on Deaderick. My guess would be that we pick up a street free-agent at safety. And, I'm the one millionth poster on patsfans.com to suggest D. Sharper. Do I get a prize?

I can't see M. Cannon contributing this year given his health and no off-season activity. I think IR for him. Faulk in limbo if we have 4 healthy backs. He might just be insurance for 2 more weeks. Release him. Then just tell him to hang around Foxboro.

Faulk, Brace and Deaderick all come off the PUP list this week, so room needed for them. That's three guys for two spots, so the question is where is the other opening?

They're eligible to come off now. We have 3 weeks to decide before we must activate or release.

Health concerns appear to be a bit overstated:

Cannon has had nausea only once. . . . He hasn't lost his hair, and he has maintained his weight despite losing his appetite. (He said he dropped to 338 after his first chemo treatment before figuring out he had to eat despite not being hungry. He now weighs 348.)

. . .

The same day he had his third chemo treatment, Cannon swam and played basketball. He said he couldn't be better.

I think one (maybe both) of these spots will be used on one of the DL. Injuries have hurt our depth there and I'm sure they want to be able to give Wilfork a few less snaps down the stretch if they can. With Haynesworth still very much part time, our two biggest defenders (Wilfork and Love) could use another body to rotate in there.

My guess for PUP activations is Brace (he's a better interior player in theory than Deaderick), and Cannon (the OL still needs interior depth). The rest stay on PUP for at least another week in case of injury. As much as I love Faulk, our RB's have proven to be effective and durable, so there's no rush to bring him back in. If Woodhead were still injured, I would feel differently.

Frankly I am getting a bit tired of the Ventrone brothers in and out of this team,at least one of the brothers is on another team.

Bill,Please let the Ventrone thing go....permanently

Fortunately Mrs B isn't reading and there's no Thumbs Down button. She had major hots for Ventrone Release 1.0.

I agree with you. Release 2.0 makes Woodhead look big.
