Why have we played the Colts every year since realignment? Because the Colts and Pats have finished in the same position in their respective divisions since 2002 and when they didn't the rotating of schedules had them play each other.

It isn't a case of when you play a certain division every four years, they rotate the home and away game. I think there is a formula based on record and other factors from the year before that determines whether intradivision games are home or away.
