Between him and Bruschi... it doesn't sound like anyone thinks this is a horrible move.

Well, anyone that actually was in that locker room at any point during Moss's tenure with the team.

Rodney making loads of sense.

Clearly, he's not a registered poster here.

Rodney does still bring it!

BTW how is your son, Harrison Brady, doing? Is he ready for football yet?

About Mossed out at this stage of the day, but after hearing folks like Bruschi and Harrison.. makes more sense...

With the comments from Bruschi, Brown, Burton and now Harrison, it's clear that Randy decided to shoot his way out of town. Which is really too bad. But, seriously, the guy was clearly a head case ala Manny Ramirez.

Are some of you guys talking about that great 2001 defense? The one that gave up 23 or more points 5 times in the first 10 games? I think people remember it fondly due to winning the SB and ultimately what it became in the following years. But that defense went through its growing pains too.

Continue to whyne and bytch about how bad this whole thing is, BB & staff would not deliberately sabotage this team..

Sorry, but Rodney of all people disparaging Moss with talk about how "Belichick didn't win any superbowls with Moss" is sickening to read. Last I checked, it was Moss who caught the go ahead touchdown in the superbowl, and it was Rodney who got lazy and let a no name scrub catch a ball with his f'n helmet. Rodney has no right to be saying that when he's the reason they never won a superbowl with Moss.

I'm a fan of Moss and will miss seeing him in a Pats uniform, but this is a great quote from Rodney:

"Randy Moss did a lot, he was a great leader in the locker room but at the end of the day the Patriots gave him an opportunity that he didn't have when he came to the Oakland Raiders. So he can't say that he wasn't appreciated, he was appreciated in New England. They gave him a $27 million contract, when everyone else thought he was a bad apple in the NFL, they gave him an opportunity."

Remember when the Pats signed him and most of us said that he had one chance to get his act together? We said that if he became a problem that BB would never stand for it and he would be gone. After all it was only a 4th round pick, well worth the gamble. Moss gave us some terrific football, but that time finally came. He became a problem and he's gone. Just like we said.

It's been beaten to death that if Samuel had stayed with Tyree like he was supposed to, that catch never would have happened. It was a miracle catch; I don't think you can blame Harrison for that.

As far as what he said about Belichick winning without Moss, I don't think Rodney is ****ting on Moss. I think his point is, while Moss is a great player, Belichick has found ways in the past to win without an elite WR.

Yeah i totally agree with you. Ive seen it stated over and over again that Moss wanted out and was becoming more and more of a distraction and all that comes with Randy becoming Bad Randy. That the pats have won without Moss and will continue to. But they'res a large group that pay no attention to the reality of what happened and what would happen.

It was a catch that he, given the position he was in, EASILY could have broken up, regardless of Samuel. As a member of the defense that imploded after Moss caught what should have been a superbowl winning touchdown, he forfeits any right to pull the "But but they never won a superbowl with Moss!" card. Moss wasn't why they lost that superbowl, and Rodney bringing that up as if Randy prevented them from winning is a scumbag thing to do, when that season Rodney's most notable accomplishment was getting suspended for roids.

I guess you're right. It's just that we see Moss get back to being Hall of Famer, TD machine Moss, that teams have to game plan (like his MINN. days), and BB trades him for a freakin' 3rd.

Not only that, but I heard there was also a 7th in 2012 involved. I figured, O.K., Minnesota was desperate for a WR, and the Pats said 'you won't give us a 1st or 2nd, at least throw in an extra pick'. Even that would make a little more sense. Then I hear that the 7th in 2012, was THE PATRIOTS throwing in the extra pick PLUS Moss, to Minn.

Belichick has made a couple of good trades, but more often than not he gets owned. The players we trade for get cut, or at the very least everybody is always saying 'that's all we got?' Heck, Denver was desperate for a RB after the injury bug hit, and they get our former first rounder for a 4th, and it again was THE PATRIOTS who threw in an extra pick back to Denver (a 6th).

When K.C. was desperate for a QB, everybody talked about the 1st and 3rd that would be the going rate for Cassell because alot of teams were interested in him, and we got a 2nd (and I think we there too threw in a draft pick back). It's bizarre!

Doesn't Bellichick have clue about what it's like to have what the others want, and making them pay to get it? Seriously. Are we so desperate for a lousy third round pick that they give up a player like Moss AND a draft pick? It makes no sense.

Again, I don't mind giving up Moss, but don't be a chump. I guarantee the Minnesota brass was high fiving and laughing afterwards. All teams know they can take this guy in a trade. I love the guy, but I love the coach. The GM, not as much. Whether he's trading down for "value", or getting 50 cents on the dollar in trades, not so much.

WOW. Nothing like re-writing history there. It was NOT Rodney who got lazy. It was Asante Samuel. Rodney did everything he could to make sure Tyree didn't make that catch. It was Samuel who let Tyree get open TWICE. Once on that catch and one earlier on a TD.

Rodney has every right to be talking about not winning a SB with Moss because it was SAMUEL who was the reason they didn't win.

Get your facts straight.

From where I am sitting, you are the one who lost has any right to talk on the subject because you just don't know wtf you are talking about. You have your facts WRONG on so many levels.

First and foremost, Rodney did not get suspended for Roids. He got suspended for HGH, which is totally different than roids. You'd know that if you had a clue.

Secondly, Rodney was doing his best to cover up for Samuel's laziness on defense. No sane person would blame Rodney for that. In fact, any intelligent person would acknowledge that it was Samuel who allowed the initial tying TD to Tyree that forced the Pats to score with Moss. And it was also Samuel who didn't make the EASY sideline interception that would have ended the game. And it was Samuel's laziness that didn't allow the Pats to move him onto Plaxico Burress instead of having a severely injured Hobbs covering him.

So, keep spewing your revisionist history. All it will do is earn you the ire of people and cause you to end up on ignore lists.
