Welker should maintain his slot postion. Tate will be a starter. That's status quo.

Edelman ? He can play outside.
Price ? He's been inactive all season.

Anyone else ? I guess it's Edelman ?

Woodhead. Should satisfy those fans who strangely believe Brady needs to be forced to get back to the "my favorite receiver is the open one" mentality that apparently has been lacking in his game of late

both tate and price can man that spot.

one funny side effect is how much $$$ the jets spent on revis basically to cover moss

Would have been nice if Holt didn't get hurt, I thought he would have been a fine option for this year.

I hope Price is ready to contribute but when's the last time a WR actually had an impact in his rookie year for BB?

he didn't have it in him anymore.

Taylor Price, come on down!

The other funny side effect is now that there is no Moss it will be even easier for the Jets secondary to shut down the Pats passing attack. Yeah I'm in stitches over here.

Here come Brandon Tate and Edelman. Defense are really worried now..

I guess you have no reason to watch, then......celtics preseason starts tonight

You expect a rookie who played zero snaps and was on the inactive list all season long to come in and start for us at WR?

My guess would be Edelman.

Price looked pretty raw in preseason and I doubt he saw many reps with Brady during TC or since then.

If I'm the Pats, you might want to keep Patten and Holt on the dial in case of injury. Neither is really an outside threat, but - like with the Maroney deal - they are taking a risk by dealing Moss in that an injury or two could really decimate the depth chart.

what every coach in the NFL is now thinking....

what can I do with the extra Dback I always needed over the top to cover Moss? Whether Moss was loafing it, other team still had to account for him. Now they can put that extra guy in the middle to wait on Welker/Hernandez. Or maybe they can send him after Brady cause we have no deep threat.

My one concern is that Tate may be relieved of KR duties. Knowing BB, however, Tate may be asked to KR and repalce Moss.

Oh I'll still watch. But I don't have to put on rose colored glasses like yourself and pretend this was a great trade when the Pats got ripped off royally.

Is it crazy to think they could stick Hernandez there?

I by no means like the trade, but claiming Illegal has rose colored glasses is anything but the truth. I always thought of him as more of a contrarian.

Jets rarely doubled him, especially when Revis covers him, so the biggest nemisis in our division isn't really impacted and isn't the first goal every year to win the division?

Re: what every coach in the NFL is now thinking....

At least we'll have a few weeks of Brandon Tate on single coverage up top to try to hit some big plays.

actually, they did. Im not to sure about the week 2 game, but there was analysis of last years games that showed the Jets had some type of over the top coverage on Moss for most of the passing plays.

I doubt Edelman will be the main outside target. He just started playing WR.

Taylor Price, who knows. Haven't seen enough of him.

Tate is the speed guy, but we haven't seen him run those deep routes yet.

I think we may see a lot more of the stuff we saw with Deion Branch and David Givens. I don't think either of them really went deep much and we still kicked butt. If I remember correctly.
