You're stretching something that was never meant to be stretched. Infidelity, unmarried sex, etc., are not covered here, or else there wouldn't be a league at all.

I think by some folks definition of the PCP. The entire NFL roster would consist of Denver's backup QB.

Given that Spikes is in Goodell's office you must mean that Goodell is stretching something that is not meant to be stretched. Of course, given the language, there's huge room for stretching. One could make a plethora of arguments under the PCP.

Honor is earned?

Who said chatroulette is dishonorable?

How many of your fellow Patsfans on this site watch or have watched porn? Have you ever watched porn?

If you have, you're just as dishonorable then. It takes 2 to tango.

I'm pretty sure something exactly like this happened, but I don't remember the details. If I get a minute I'll try and google it.
Thanks..I really have to wonder HOW a league would try to stifle political talk...THAT seems quite unamerican actually...

Goodell can do nothing here. NOTHING.

Don't put words in my mouth ...

If she was an adult and he a minor and the laws of that state say it's a crime then it's a crime. He went along with it willingly so he aided her in the crime.
Of course he's not legally chargeable ... but he did go along with a criminal activity if it was against the law in that state.

Shame on you for comparing a minor being raped to consensual sex.

I wonder if he was Jet if your attitude would be the same ... we'll have to use the search feature to see how you felt about other teams players committing transgressions.

Just digging the hole deeper. Take a walk, get some fresh air, throw a football around or something...

If Al Davis wants to hire a porn star, Goodell can do nothing. NOTHING.

Do you understand what statuatory rape is? I don't think you do... it's basically the law that states a minor CANNOT give consent to sex. Sex, regardless of what the minor says, is considered non-consensual, because the person is not deemed of legal age to make that distinction. I did not compare it to the rape of a minor, I'm saying if he was a minor in the video the law says it is impossible to consider the sex consensual. Thus, he didn't go along with anything.

This is moot however. As someone else said, chatroulette (where this supposedly happened) is something that appeared within the last year or two, so he was of consenting age. He also didn't distribute this, it was recorded without his knowledge. Or do you not understand what chatroulette is either?

Thats all fine and dandy, but I am missing the part where it was decided that Spikes put this out in the public domain? Version I got was it was on chatroullete and some @sshat decided it would be fun to record and then redistribute the video.

chatroullete is a site where you log on with your computer and webcam and someone else does the same. The roulette part is that it pairs up webcams randomly - or so they say. My opinion is that it's hard to say it was an accident or for personal consumption if that's how it came to be seen.

If he had made it for personal consumption my opinion would be different. That he let it be put on the web for anyone to see shows a huge lack of character.

Also ... he looks very wasted.

Wow, that's all I can say. Unbelievable.

There's a reason it's called statutory rape. You don't seem to understand that.

He didn't put words in your mouth. You said he could be charged being a accomplice.

Again, you are arguing from the stance that YOU have a PERSONAL issue with porn. That's fine, that's your opinion. The ludicrous money the industry pulls in would indicate that many people in America and the entire world disagree.

If you have a problem with it, it is YOUR responsibility to protect your children, not the person making the porn. Any parent who allows their child on chatroulette doesn't care what their kid sees, or can't be bothered to educate themselves on the internet.

Let's be clear here. This isn't even porn. Someone engaging in voyeuristic sex for no profit, that's something other than porn.

This thread really needs to be moved to the political forum or practice squad.

A crime is a breach of law committed against the state.
That's Mr. Krafts call not mine but they are personal incidents not viewable by the public.

A personal transgression is something that may or may not bring shame to a company or organization. That video is on the web forever --- Brandon Spikes Patriot player masturbation video. It did not get there by accident ... Chatroulette is not an accident. So now Mr. Kraft is supposed to help people raise money for charity while he has this guy on his team who happens to have a porn video on the web ... sweet ... real sweet.

BTW if Spikes was a minor when the video was made then yes a crime was committed if the woman was an adult ... Spikes went along with it so he would be an accomplice if she was an adult.
This whole discussion is FAR out of hand..and WHY don't you SIR look into the lives of the OTHER 3000 players and judge them as well...since you seem to like doing that. Sorry,,but this is getting totally ridiculous...get a life please...

changing the dynamics of a discussion here.

I am responsible to myself and my family ... not to a very public organization.

You need to research what chatroulette is ... it's a site used by exhibitionists.

What people do in the privacy of their homes is their business ... why bring it up.

I watched the Spikes video so yeah ... I've watched porn.

find where I said he could be "charged" and post it.

Also, in regards to this line, be my guest. I don't play the moral outrage game and never have. As I said, I don't believe Cromartie should be suspended for his personal issues, and he's done something far worse which is be so blatantly irresponsible in his sexual habits that he has children whose names he has trouble remembering.

I don't care. I think it's disgusting and I wouldn't want him dating a member of my family, but I don't believe for one second that it should affect his playing eligibility.

I didn't watch the Spikes video, didn't bother, thought it was probably bad porn. I am up for a good flick though sometimes.

So what's wrong with exhibitionists again? Or swingers? Or people into S&M?

If Al Davis wants to hire a porn star, Goodell can do nothing. NOTHING.

If the porn star continues to star in porn films while in the NFL I'd say that according to the language of the PCP he could. He may not want ot pick that battle, but the PCP pclearly allows him to do so. If the porn star quits porn, not so much.

Goodell can fine a coach for flipping the bird in public, outside of any NFL context, for crying out loud!
