I wanted T.O. before we made moves for wide receivers. Now? Not so much. He's loaded with talent but we just exorcised the locker room of all of these so called "cancers" and bad apples. Why put the biggest of them all in there? I don't know. I said this when I wanted him and I'll say it again now: if they DO get him, give him an extremely short leash. First incident and he's gone.

He was a slow starter then really broke out last year:

According to a league source, the Patriots had Rod Owens in for a workout Thursday morning. Owens, a 6-foot-1, 186-pound wide receiver, led Florida State with 61 catches for 729 yards and three touchdowns last season. A 23-year-old, he was released late last month by St. Louis.
