Reiss Pats Notebook Nugget on WRs in 2010 Draft

Maybe that's what those analysts meant by calling White a "Wes Welker type" -- that he wouldn't get drafted?

That gets my vote for the lazy analyst's most-overused and misapplied catchphrase of this draft. I think I hear one analyst or another call virtually every pass catcher a "Wes Welker type" at some point. Well, except for Gronkowski.

But I bet one of them at least considered it for a moment.

I find it interesting that BB gave Eric Decker and Taylor Price the same draft grade. Anyone know who the 3rd receiver is?

O'Brien himself had a private workout with Emmanuel Sanders so it could be him. But I think Andre Roberts was the 3rd, who also had a private workout.

Agreed on both points, I liked Decker a lot too. And this tidbit from Reiss lends extra weight to his statement that Gronkowski & Hernandez were the Pats' top-rated classic TE & receiving TE/H-back, respectively.

Mike Reiss was nice enough to answer my email. Said he doesn't know who the 3rd guy is.

My money is on Sanders.
